With enough experience, you can get through a level just fine and save it at the start of the level only, it's how I am doing my TR3 Walkthrough on youtube at the moment, there isn't 20 levels so I can do it under 29 saves.

That's true! Have you completed your walkthrough yet? EDIT: Oh sorry you said you're doing. Good luck with the Antarctica levels!
I was planning on save when i'm halfway done with the level. And if there is a chance to complete it on first try i'll risk it.

Sneaky link to my channel. I am doing good so far, practicing for over 18 years may be the reason.

SS leigh Antarctica and RX-Tech mines are easy to do on first try but tinnos is quite hard and sometimes meteorite cavern is tough for me to do on first try.

Or better yet, ignore Willard altogether and leave without any meteorite artifacts.

This was one of the sections where you had to time your movement perfectly, too far after sprinting past the artifact and having to backstep once to collect it, you are pretty much dead already.

You could, however the picking up of the artifacts is the required action for triggering the gate to open where the enemies attack.

Did you know that it's possible to abuse Willard's positioning to avoid him getting a bead on you (keeping Lara out of his line of fire)? This is because savegames do not track Willard's left/right orientation. Also, much like the position abusing, you can save the game when Willard is firing at you, reload and find that his projectile is no longer active, meaning you never have to stun/kill him once.
