Of course, I know that our Miss Lara has a "glowing personality" and tan to match.
And of course, all my drivers are up-to-date. (Just did my Nvidia's to be sure.) BTW, all of the TRA textures, objects and NPC graphics seem to be excellent, in my book. But since the gym's bright lights, to any and all places whenever Lara is illuminated by a yellow light-source, she seems to glow, way too much, folks. (Heck, I just watched Larson and Lara in those action cinemas, where they get close and fight and Lara was about 10 to 25 percent brighter then Larson, ALL THE TIME!) ![]() And since I mess with UnReal Map Editing, it might be that her 3d-model's Ambient Glow, with 4 or more lights within its properties/display, is simply set too high? (a little bit is needed to not lose the character in total darkness.) Or as I have seen in lots of cheap Japanese titles, did they simply BOOST her visiablity with an overly bright yellow, to simply turn our lovely Lara into the player's main "point of interest", you know? ![]() (And did they do the same "cheap trick" in their TRL title, btw?) Of course, this is not critical... But being simply "cheap-looking and annoying" sounds about right. ![]() ... Jim ... Last edited by TigerEye; 09-08-07 at 10:55. |

Isn't the glow on all versions? She glows a lot on the PS2. ESPECIALLY at the beginning of the Lost Valley. She's all... RED!

you shouldnt really question personal opinion you know? I like the glow so there is no reason to reply saying you dislike it. You can say you dislike it (when its not in cutscenes) but you cant reply to me saying that.

This belongs to another section definitely, as no technical issue is discussed.

Heck, I really enjoyed all those positive ideas about our lovely Lara's glow.
![]() And having her entire 3d-model beam a bit, at certain story-points, might actually provide some most excellent entertaiment and be very enhancing, logically, if done just right. (And for an TRA gameplay enhancement idea, that golden-glow might be great stuff to notify the player that it is just the right time period to do a backwards grapple-jump or around other critical jumping spots, perhaps?) But alas, this is actual a little "details and textures killer" that seems to ruin Lara's lovely skin, around each and every yellow light-source, it seems? ![]() (But please continue with your almost metaphysical TRA comments, okay?)
