Default flash website editing...

Hi

I've just downloaded a flash website, and i'm now trying to edit it.
But i'm having lost of problems with it now...

When i'm trying to edit the website, like removing the "Made By" and stuff like that (I'm allowed to do that, said the maker from the website)..
But in the Flash Document it's edited, so i safe the document and when i open the document in the flash player or the HTML site, nothing changed...

What do i have to do in order to see the changes in the flash player or html??

And i also downloaded a thumbnail for video's and a MP3 player from flash... But that's the same problem... I can edit them, but don't see any changes in the html page or flash player... Except for the music that i load in.....

Thanks in Advance.

For the HTML just go to File->Save as in your browser, in the format put "HTML document" and save to where you want

Then open it with the notepad and change the code

When your fine with it save and doubleclick the HTML

(ps. if you want images you need to save them intro the same directory as your HTML file is) and change every singe "<img scr=...>" thing to match your picture's name

As for the flash, i don't know, maybee a .swf decompiler

Do you have the actual Flash Project file or just the Flash Movie (.swf) itself? If it is just the .swf, then you will have to de-compile it first into a project file. I recommend using Sothink's SWF Decompiler.

If you have the projec file (either de-compiled or originally), you will need to have Adobe Flash installed to edit it. Once edited, you can then export the movie back into a .swf file and add it to your HTML document.

I have Dreamweaver 8, Flash 8 and Fireworks 8 full edition.

I've downloaded the file that contains:
1 Flash Document,
1 Flash Movie,
1 HTML Document,
2 XML documents
and some thumbnails.

Do you actually know any HTML at all? You need to learn the basics of HTML before you will be able to set up decent website. And also look into the basics of flash editing and embedding.

In theory, the HTML document you have will have the flash embedded, so when you edit the flash it should show the changes in the HTML document (if you overwrite it, that is).
