I'm really sorry if i've badly posted this q about installation of tr3
i have xp/vista & I can not install it. I clicked on the install button, a welcome box should've popped up but nothing happens, except whirring.I have tried compatibility changing, inc wizard for older games and I have tried cyber patches from windows.
Thank you in advance for any help you can offer, i'm really annoyed. The disc is genuine, so im a little frustrated. It's such a classic. |

Welcome to TRF.
This thread belongs in the Tech Support section. And I think the solution might be to change the compatibility. It's all explained here. Edit: Sorry, I didn't read your post carefully enough. Edit 2: Have you tried any of these? Last edited by Verdilet; 27-07-08 at 20:19. |

^ Hi and welcome to TRF and Tech Support section
1. Run Diagnose.exe and post the report. 2. What OS (operation system) did you try to install TR3 under (XP or Vista)? 3. You may need to disable DEP service. 4. Never use Autorun menu, quit it, browse your TR3 CD in Explorer and run Setup.exe file directly. 5. After installation of TR3 is complete, download and run Multipatcher. 6. Run TR3 via desktop/programs menu shortcut, NEVER via Autorun menu. |

Thank you for both of your replies, but i'm afraid nothings installing at all - if i explore the game, and click 'tomb', i can play it, but cannot save or install or anything. Its really very odd, i know the disc is genuine i had played it on my old comp :s
I try to install it w/ the sold out software pop up thing, go to teh install page, click install and then im back to the sold out software intro. Thakns |
