How do you update you PS3?

How do you update you PlayStation 3?? Do you download it from your PC and transfer it to your PS3?? Donwload it directly from your PS3 and install it?? Which one is the safest way??

You download it from the PSN, if I remember correctly.

Yes, I know that. But I'd like to know how the members here update their console, because I wanna know which way is the safest.

Yeah you can download it via the PS3 or download it by the computer and then transfer to the PS3, with a media card, jump disc, etc.

Safest way.. I usually just download it from the PS3.

^A few minutes.

Strange thing is that my PS3 downloads 10 times better than my PC using the same internet connection.

Both are 'safe'.I never updated it using my PC,since it's easier to just do it using the PS3.

Just got to Settings and choose System update.

I always download directly to my PS3, usually takes a couple of mins. Never had any problems so far.

i got my ps2 stolen and i wanted to play ps2 games i have 40gb ps3 so i cant play them but i heard theres an update for that and i have no internet connection on my ps3 where exactly do i download from pc
