Unhappy Bump mapping in carrera eek

I'm having trouble applying a simple bump map to extracted models from anniversary, yet it worked perfectly well on others i had extracted.
This is it without any bump mapping

and this is with BM applied

On another model, it works absolutely fine

but here, the mapping is funny and the shadows are also peculiar.

I get this

The EXACT same model and textures show the bump fine in poser

but here is another model, this one not working either

I have no idea what could be causing this. The main texture is fine, i've not changed the UV/normals at all, and have kept the exact same shader settings as the last model, but it comes out strange.
Could anybody with carrera or modelling knowledge help please? deeply appreciated.

I still can't get anything to work on some of them, all I have done is smooth the meshes but i did that before and it worked fine
