Ahhh, well after that bit:
Luna's dad and shadow got hurt, Ethan saved them, they go to see Betty and Rose & her fiancee, John. John admits he's Bancquox's brother but is nothing like him and knows of Bancquox's secret army -- dragons and evil from the land where he and Bancquox grew up, far from Fantasia Valle. John tells them of 'the eradication of the nobles' -- where Bancquox wants to make a big scene by killing off all the important people to make sure he rules everyone/make a big fuss -- with Luna being the last death. Lord Shatterly is the first, so they travel to his house/keep him and his family safe and fight with Bancquox's men when they arrive. Ethan is knocked out and kidnapped -- taken to the Royal Castle of Fantasia Valle. Heartbroken, Luna and Shadow rush after him amid John's advice not to.

That would leave you with Chapter 45 about what happens at the castle.

Luna and Shadow enter through the cistern of the castle, noticing the many innocents in jail -- including young children. They see a poster advertising a festival of the arts, which they agree to partake in to cause a diversion..

I do remember you read it as I'm sure you commented on the fairies
