This may sound a tad biast.....Do you think IRELAND would be a good place to see in tomb raider?. know we had it in chronicles..but that was beyond fictional....were not evil imps..i swear
Ireland has many archaetectual sites.

Dublin would be awesome

Irish mythology could be cool to explore too, with the light and dark courts of the Daoine Sidhe.

I think the New Grange location would be great!
It could be based around the old druids and the Summer and Winter Solstice
I live on the southeast in Wicklow and it is full of history!
The Vikings came ashore onto the beaches of Wicklow and we also have Irelands most haunted jail (Wicklow Gaol) http://www.wicklowshistoricgaol.com/ were it is said that there is a secret tunnel entrance into the Gaol that leads to the last remains of Wicklow's "Black Castle http://www.strollingguides.co.uk/boo...lackcastle.php
Ireland is full of history and it would be great to see Lara return!

I've already stated just how much I'd love for Ireland to be done in a Tomb Raider game in the Locations thread;

Quote:
Ireland hasn't been done properly and I'd love for it to be done. There's so much history here, and Chronicles really just used it for a creepy level that had little to do with Ireland, barely resembled Ireland, and didn't actually feature in a real location in Ireland. And it's not like there's a shortage of settings;

The Monastic City of Glendalough (even sounds Tomb Raidery doesn't it?)

Newgrange Passage Tomb (Is lit up by sunlight every winter solstice)

Or even the streets of Dublin if they wanted an urban level.

It might be a good level. I haven't played TRC so I don't know how that was but it probably would be a good level.

In Tomb Raider: Chronicles, they showed Ireland as a dark place (the sky was purple/orange/pink, the trees were dark green, it was raining, etc)... But to answer the question, I do think that going in real Ireland would be a good idea. I always loved those huge green fields, just like we see in one of ]{eith's pictures.

I dunno really.....

It'd kinda ruin it for me a little....TR was always about exotic places.....

I'd be wary that they'd defile the old myths and culture and everything....and I can just see them messing up the language....

Cuinas bothair caillin bainne anyone?

If it was properly researched and everything, I suppose it would be ok....

And for Dublin, well, not on the actual streets....that really wouldn't work

*pictures Lara running down Moore Street, guns blazing.... GET YER BANNANITS..... TREE FOR A EURA..*

No....just no...

Perhaps though, underneath the city, in the old viking ruins could be interesting....

And NewGrange wouldn't work....too small.....
