Im a closet fan of Katy Perry (although now ive posted on a world forum theres an interesting paradox, anyway) even though im a blues and rock fan and try to stay away from current (read, bad) music.

Theres something about her that grabs my ear though, catchy yes, but some of the lyrics and arrangements are quite something.
