General Anaesthetic Worries
I am going on monday for an operation to remove the veins from my legs. I have had bad veins in my legs since I was about 14/15 so have had them 15 years or so. In the last year it has caused ulcers and pigmentaion on the skin on my ankles.
I was meant to go in last Monday, but when I phoned no beds, but to stay on standby, got a call at 11.30 to come in, went in at 12, seen anaesthetist at 1ish, surgeon at 2, marked my legs. Then at 3pm was told to go home, as it was cancelled got myself all worked up ready and then nothing. Never been put to sleep before so a bit nervous, many of you had a general anaesthetic? |

I have!
Honestly, you have nothing to be worried or concerned about! They tell you to relax and lie there. At first you think "Anaesthetic? What Anaesthetic? Pfft!". The next thing you know you wake up! It really is that simple! You cant feel/ tell whats happening in the middle. After you have done it once, you will wonder why you were ever worried! |

All you feel is your arm going a little numb and then the next thing you wake up in the bed.
Absolutely nothing to think and worry yourself over. |

Don't worry it's nothing to worry about! I had to have an oral surgery once and I was so worried and I was freaking out and I was just laying there and they were like "relax, you won't feel a thing", but a was so tense! After they give it to you you don't remember much and you really can't think, and when you wake up you feel fine but really tired.

You don't have anything to worry about! Anaesthetic is fine and dandy. I broke my wrist once and I got the anaesthetic and the last thing I could remember was being told to count to 10 and then everything went black... literally what seemed like only 2 seconds later I was waking up in the bed! It was as if nothing had happened!

had it recently, its pretty simple, nothing to worry about.
Just get a tap in your hand in which they inject the anesthetic into. |

If you've never had it before, chances are higher that it'll work I only had it in my mouth when they were pulling my teeth, it only gets annoying afterwards when it starts wearing out. Feels so strange
