Weird, when i Delete the Hat/Feather/Boots/ i Export the Mesh with No Problem

By the way, i just did something Very Cool with a slight bad problem.
Rename the Blue Cap from AtlantiB as Original Mod
Load the Cap in XNA and press F11, Save as generic in the Folder and quit the Program
Load Blender, then Import the Mesh as ImportMeshAscii
I get 2 Warnings about Textures not being Loaded and yet i see the Hat with Feather
I deleted the Hat and Exported it with obj as Feather.mesh to the File
I deleted the Hat mtl/obj Files and left the Feather mtl/obj files
The Problem is that, when i Load the File in XNA, i see Nothing and yet Something is there.
I don't really understand your question, but if you choose another bone from the list, you 'll see different areas coloured red/blue.


Also, I think your hat is not bone weighted.
Hair are red because they suppose to move with the selected bone from the list (head neck upper).The hat should be red too, otherwise it wont move with the head (and we don't want that ).
In general, the colors represent the bone heat. Blue color means that the mesh part doesn't move with the selected bone on the list. Red color means that the mesh part is moving (at a high level). Pale blue, green, or orange are something between these..
Your hat should be red with all the bones that the head is moving.
If you need to know hot to do that (I said I didn't understand your question), I'll tell you with pics! Just let me know!

Default Neue Schuhe für Alister

Alister bekommt neue Stiefel. Die Stiefel sind als unbewegliches Modell vorhanden. Alister ist "poseable". Die Stiefel werden "poseable" gemacht.

Tutorial Dateien
Die Skelette von Alister und Lara sind verschieden. Deshalb können wir nicht einfach eine Kombination erstellen. Wir Laden das bewegliche Modell von Alister und die nicht posierbaren Stiefel von Lara.

Make a copy of the alister data folder. Rename this folder to dave!robi (for example).
Open XNALara and load the Alister Model, then press F11 on your Keyboard and save it in the Model Folder freom your dave!robi model as generic_item.
Load the Lara Model, then press F11 on your Keyboard and save it in the Lara Model Folder as generic_item then close XNALara.


Open Blender and Press A twice, then hit Delete to remove everything inside.

Import the generic_item.ascii from the XNALara\Data\Ge_Alister Folder using the import scripts with the menu item File ->Import->ImportMeshAsciiExtended
Click on View, then click on Front to view your Character.

00 Start: Importiere die Generic_Item.msh.ascii Datei von Alister mit MeshAsciiExt in Blender.

Thanks for this Awsome New Tutorial, i Love that Screen with Lara and Alister.

I hope you are typing English Text aswell

Does this Tutorial apply for the Hat/Feather too.

Ok i did it, but got a little confused with some of your Screens, because in one of them you tell me to Delete Lara Croft Backpack, when way at the end, you tell me to Bone Weight the Boots to the Backpack

I Deleted the Shoes on Alister while trying to Bone Weight the Boots to Something (Alister Pants) and Export it to the Alister Generic File, then i Load the Model in XNA and i see the Boots, but in Black Color. Atleased it Worked

You say make Copy of Alister or sometthing, but you werent quite clear, so the Boots Never went Over the Pants.

2. Die Schuhe passen nicht über die Hosen ?

1. Benütze ModPublisher.exe ! Oder kopiere die Stiefel-Texturen von Hand ind den Ordner mit dem MOD ;-)
Use ModPublisher.exe ! This program copy all textures in the MOD folder ;-)

2. Ich schneide die Hosen in Bild 39 ab ;-)
I cut the pants by image 39 ;-)

Question: can i use an Already Generic Boot instead of a Casual Lara Model from Dusan, i would just put a Bone Weight on the Legs or Pants of Alister

The same with the Hat/Feather, i just put a Bone Weight to the Hair or Face.
