I have no mousepad. I have an optical mouse which doesn't require one (actually, works real bad with one!).

I too have an optical mouse but do use a mousemat, simply for comfort, as I rest my hand on my mouse most of the time, my wrist can rest on the (plain colour for optical) mat.

My mousemat is purple with black bits and has "3M Precise Mousing Surface" on the bottom
