*Sigh*
Without wanting to cause offence, you're all entitled to your opinions, but it's people like you guys who allow (even encourage) this sort of bias to happen by approving of it. What about the content that's already on the disc? The extra Lairs of Romulus. Is it fair that we've all bought our copies of the game, yet we're denied access to a portion of the software we've paid for unless we pay more further down the line (as was the case with ACII)? Is that okay too?

It's not DLC. It's content that was developed as a part of the standalone game, yet deliberately fenced off in order to make money by selling a special edition, and to make even more money by charging us with 'normal' copies to access it.

This may be a simplistic way to view it, probably not entirely right either lol... but wouldn't it be easier for them to include some of the purchasable content on the game already, sort of like how you might need some sort of serial number for certain access of a program you might download? Or maybe I should say... maybe it was just easier for them to do it that way. I don't know lol.
From the sound of things, Ubi doesn't sound like a terrible company. I wont rage over their trying to get money until they really start beating the Assassin's Creed franchise like a dead horse, much like a certain Tomb Raider series we all know about. I just hope they don't start dishing out more and more games that progressively become boring or old just to make money, much like TR was for a while there (and I love TR obviously, or I wouldn't be here lol). I know that wasn't Core's fault but anyway... Ubi say it's going to be three main games and the story wont go on forever like other franchises, and I honestly hope they stick to that. I would hate to see the series degress like many other franchises... But that's just me. And I am absolutely obsessed with this series right now lol... so it's not that I don't like it. I just don't want to see it become something overdone. So unless they start putting out new games every year that keep getting worse or old, I don't have a problem with how they're doing things... And you are entitled to your opinion Spong, even if I feel like you're overreacting a little bit. I'm not exactly in your shoes and I have a different perspective lol (more layed back about it from the sound of it)... so I have nothing more to say on that really.

I believe they've already been quoted on looking to go back on their word and drop a new AC title every year with the success of II and Brotherhod. Personally I won't mind so much if they roll out the 'Desmond Trilogy' and then move on to expanding the universe with other Assassins or whatever. If however we end up with another approximation of Ezio's exploits at the end of the year, well I wouldn't feel any desire to buy it at all eventhough I do really like the series.

But if they did start fresh after finishing Desmond's story with a new Assassin or timeline, or something... I think I could live with that... as long as they put the same team together for it and make sure they're just as amazing as the first games we have right now. :S

I think they should totally do that. Or release two streams of Assassin's Creed.
One with Desmond finishing up the fight with the end of the world. One with modern Assassins fighting modern Templars and doing modern assassinations (intercepting packages, destroying cargo, killing officials, using Sniper Rifles, etc.)
