I personally don't give a toss since I'll probably be dead by the time it'll affect anything, but I still thought I'd post it.

what obvious joke is there, i can't see it ?
What I don't get is the "explanation" that water has frozen, freezing water expanding rather than shrinking. After all, to me it is mostly "who cares?". |

makes perfect sense to me....since the molten and the core are cooling, they have to shrink.and....since the outer crust is somewhat more "rigid" than the material underneath....it can't shrink without there being any "Breakage" or "scarps" as they say.If the crust would contract "homogeneously" or "uniformly",then there would be a reduction in surface area and that's a violation of the conversation of mass law...and that's a big no-no |

So long as the Moon stays the hell away from me, it can shrink all it wants.
I've never trusted it myself. |
