Your ONE Favourite Cover Version...

Hi!

We all know that cover versions are regularly performed live in concerts, and occasionally make it as official singles. We also know there's a lot of youtube covers of songs out there, but what is your favourite cover of all time ?

Blows the original out of the water. Another version of this song I adore is Jennifer Hudson's. Considering I cannot stand The Beatles at all, I find it strange how much I like these.

Please only embed one to ensure the thread doesn't become one of those that's too full of embedded video.

Oh and please explain WHY

Without You - Badfinger Cover

I know the original song, but, IMO, Mariah's version is better.
I love her vocals on the song, the choir in it and the last belting note she does at the end of the song. <3

Any reasons WHY you like these covers though ? Or how you think they compare to the originals ?

Another song I adore is Run by Leona Lewis. Snow Patrol's is awful.

This was recorded as a session for DJ John Peel as a tribute to Ian Curtis (Keith Hudson's original was one of his favourites.) I'm most likely biased as New Order are one of my favourite bands, but I simply love the cold, eerie atmosphere of their version.
