yes, it does actually make it better, because if i have a friend, i don't feel better over their misery, but i try to make them feel better instead.

no, it really doesn't. that's nice you do that; it's expected because you're friends with them, and i don't expect you to gain happiness over a friends misery, but it's still wrong to gain happiness over someone who isn't your friend because they could be going through just as much crap as you are, and getting enjoyment out of that is kind of disgusting, imo.

The fact that something didn't work out for someone, which is exactly what I always thought it would happen. I shouldn't enjoy watching other people's misery but sometimes I just can't help it.
