Hey

I wanted to buy a Region 2-DVD on Amazon.de of the Michael Keaton-movie "Night Shift" and this is the error that I got - it has something to do with my address. Hopefully someone wants to help me explain. Sorry for 2) because it's quite a lot of explanation - you don't have to translate every word of course - if you can just give me the most important information, then I'll be grateful for your help.

Well, what it comes down to is that they can´t send this product to your address. They do send stuff to other countries in the world, except for those few that are excluded (Belgium is not excluded), but each product can have its own limitations. You should check out the information about delivery for this DVD. Try to order it again and then look for this specific information when you type in your address. The information you posted is too general.

As you probably have guessed, they say that the ordered article can not be sent to your address.
Which quite frankly surprised me seeing that you are in Belgium.
But then I spotted the very last sentence.
There it says that articles sold by partners (third parties) with the remark "Delivery via Amazon" (Versand durch Amazon) will currently only be delivered to German addresses.
Maybe that's the case?

Of course this is only the very minimum that I thought might be relevant in your case.
If you need some more translation, let me know.

I'm going to try again and - I have also sent a few emails - so one of the sellers/owners might help me out.

But, worst case scenario, and I cannot get my hands on Region 2-DVD of this insanely funny movie (which you cannot get anywhere else - true story!)

.......... can I perhaps persuade anyone of you fantastically sympathetic German folks to buy the DVD for me instead and send it over to my address, please-please-please-please?

I know this sounds crazy and I have to admit it - I have never done anything like this before. But I really want this movie. No, need this movie. It's too good *not* to have it in my collection, lol.

As a sign of faith in you, I can even wire the money on your account (including the few Euros for having the DVD send over to you ánd having to send it thén back from you over to me). In that case, you already have my money and then - please, please - I hope the person who agreed to help me out turns out to be a really honest person and also sticks to his/her promise by áctually sending the product over to my address here in Belgium.

Would anyone of you nice folks do this perhaps, please-please-please?

Thank you for your hospitality. I hope someone in Germany out there would help me. It's not that they couldn't trust me or anything. I'd wire the money up front - if anything - *I* should be a little weary as to whether the person (after receiving the money) will still post the DVD.

So much effort for a Michael Keaton-classic comedy ... what is the world getting to?
