The standard F3 played perfect for me, but the GOTY Ed was pure evil.

It was a bugger, especially on the non slim PS3. Mine slowed and locked up often, morso when near that trainyard place ( forgot it's damn name)

Wow I guess your either very lucky or your copy is more 'complete' than mine.

It seems as though the Xbox version may be worse then as I've encountered numerous bugs/glitches though luckily no game breaking ones as of yet.

I had the opposite experience the main game was riddled with bugs but after buying the GOTY and installing it to the hard drive I found very little.

Same, you've made me want to dig out my copy all over again. A small trip to the Pitt makes the wasteland seem hospitable.

It sounds like you are describing Meresti Trainyard where you have to go to locate the family in the quest Blood Ties http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Blood_Ties

I never really liked The Pitt or Point Lookout, The Pitt is the pits , i liked Mothership Zeta, Broken Steel and Operation Anchorage.

I've been spending a lot of time lately playing New Vegas, so much better than FO3. I've been kicking around the idea of a community project actually. If anyone is interested.

Apparently the New Vegas modding scene brought Real Time Settler to NV. And a child mod of that called Wasteland Defense came about. They apparently work together without conflict as well. So I was mulling over running a TRF governed NV town... in a sense. Sort of like a Sim City co-op... if that makes any sense.

We would need to match game versions, DLCs, and mod structures. And either trade game saves or synchronize planning of the community and probably start a separate thread and FB group.

I was also toying with the idea of modding in each participant into the game as an npc, so we can actually 'interact'.

Anyway, let me know if you are interested. I don't think it will be worth the effort if we have less than five strong commitments.

Yay, so looking for a thread like this recently. Considering I picked up Fallout 3 a couple months ago and almost already have my first 100 hours in it.

I love it, a lot. It's so addicted because there's always so much new stuff to do. I got two of the DLC chapters already too. I play it at least once a day and I find it so hard to put down.

Is New Vegas similar to Fallout 3, is it better, worse? Once Im done with Fallout 3's world should I invest in the rest of the DLC, I already have Broken Steel and Point Lookout, or get New Vegas. In my local game shop, New Vegas is only 11 bucks.

I got NV Ultimate Edition. Worth it. All the DLCs are included.

Are you playing on PC?

New Vegas trumps 3 in all respects. It's even more stable.

I'm just starting FONV, but thus far, I do not like it anywhere near as much as I liked FO3. I am very early into the game, though, so that could easily change the more I play it.

Just successfully recruited my first companion. Woo-hoo!
