Apparently this performance is pretty epic though. She has a 16 man orchestra, and rose petals fall from the ceiling at the end

I agree but i feel Video Games is her safety net when she sings live. If she really wants to show people she has a good voice and can sing well she should step out of her shell a bit. But who am i to say such things

I wish she sang something different than Video Games, like Blue Jeans since it's her next single (and because this performance is incredible), but American Idol is a BIG "family-friendly" show and Video Games is probably her only moderate song.

^I think this is the best peformance of Blue Jeans. The looping track in the background isn't nearly as annoying as it was in the one you posted

Her performance on Idol was really good. It wasn't anything AMAZING, but it was 200% better than SNL. Hopefully she's finally proven herself as a singer.

And, can I just say, I love it when she extends the "ooh", and doesn't say "I will love you til the end of time". She should have recorded the song on the album like that.
