Talking 6 ROOM LEVEL - Adventures of Lara Croft

Story: Lara is i search of a mystical ring that is shattered in 5 pieces so she goes to look for them.

Download: http://www.trle.net/sc/levelfeatures.php?lid=2531

Idea: every level is made out of one room, it makes it easier for me to focus on gameplay instead of looks and i sorta like challenges.

Levels:
Egypt - Temple of Anubis 100%
Nepal - The Monastery 100%
New York - Museum 100%
Croatia - Korčula 100%
Peru - The Fort 100%

Some screens:

Looks good.
I also like the idea.

But do you really have to stick with one room?
I mean, if using that one room causes stretched textures because of the gameplay you want to implement, then why not split the room and stack the pieces. You can still keep the one-room feeling but without the texturing limits.

Same for the room with the lava. Nothing wrong with putting a small water/quicksand room of one or two clicks deep so Lara can actually sink into the lava.

Speaking of the lavaroom:
It look spretty suffocating already.
Perhaps a bit more reddish lighting at the bottom for extra hotness. And how about some transition textures there: a bit of the lava sticking to the walls. Makes it look less blocky and the lava will look more organic.
And using some sort of grate texture or something else for the fires to burn on would also look better. Or an object.
A (small) grate with lava visible through it perhaps.

The first two screens look good too.
I like the dusty atmosphere they have.

Keep it up!

If you want an object for the grate you could ask in the object team thread.
And textures, well, having a library full of textures helps.
I tend to browse those first before going onto the internet to search.
Lots of usefull texture sites around.

Looking good.

As for the lavaroom:
The textures for the fires look much better this way.
The lava goes up way to high on the walls, but the transitions you made look good.
And if there's lava sticking to the pillars with the fires on it, then there should also be lava sticking to the walls or the room.

very good, I like the idea.
But.. As it is going to have only 1 or 2 rooms per level, why don't you build only ONE level of those 6 rooms you have in mind? You should have enought textures for this level, even if 6 different types (counting water, lava textures would be the same in each one), so only 1 (bigger) level to download

Anyhow, as I often say, the effort you put into just 1 room of this type, it should be put at a great scale, to the entire level

Can't you just use mesh swap?
