Ehhh I dunno.... I like her as the VA, but weve discussed in depth what were looking for... shes cute, she has the look, but she doesnt have the star power to put people in the seats....

The new Lara doesnt have to be an A list star, but she has to have somewhat of a following, some roles under her belt, where moviegoers would say, "Oh, THAT girl is the new Lara Croft???" Camillas not big enough yet.... I consider her in the same vein as Kacey Barnfeld...

I hope not. I like her voice work, but she doesn't look like a Lara to me when I see her.

Kacey has been in a Hollywood mainstream movie atleast, Resident Evil, but yeah aside from that shes pretty much the same as Camilla.

Well... nobody knows who Kacey is.... seriously...not an insult to her... but really that RE role is pretty much it....

Camilla is set up for a recurring role on True Blood, the season is only 3 episodes in, and her character hasnt appeared yet, but when she does, she will get a lot of attention...
True Blood is HUGE here in America, and people like Janina Gavankar, and Joe Manganiello were introduced in the last two or three seasons, with very little big role experience in their resumes, and now they are getting pretty well known...
Im betting Camilla will be well known here pretty soon....
BUT... I still dont think she will have the power to put crowds in the seats...

From what we've discussed in previous threads, she's probably too old for the part. Plus I still can't decide whether she looks like Lara or not. In some pics she does, in others she doesn't at all.

I pretty much agree with Zebra though, I feel she may be too old and not quite look alike enough. She does have the advantage of sounding just like Lara though.

Plus is she quite recognisable enough to grab interest?

I would be all for it she still looks young enough and she is the same age as Andrew Garfield who is playing a 17 year old Spider-man. My only problem is that she doesn't have many acting credentials.
