Well, maybe thats why the graphics of TR still look like they are out of 2010 because they didnt add anything new and just polished.

Polishing would include adding things to improve the graphics.

If Tomb Raider hit Beta in January that means you would be able to play through the game because all the levels are built and everything. Unpolished of course with alot of bugs, missing cutcenes and stuff like that. But stuff that happens after Beta is polishing for the Release-Candidate because no additional features are added except they bring in seperate developed additional features like for example a Multiplayer mode.
That doesnt mean there is no additional work to do like Cutcene recording or whatever, but this wouldnt take up a whole year + the delay to March 2013.

Well actually we know that in January Tomb Raider hits alpha for sure. And we know that game was playable from start to finish back then. I think it was said in podcast, if I'm wrong, correct me.

At comic con, the demo haves a subtitle like this:

Pre-Beta Hunting Demo, remember? , so i guess in the TGS, the game will upgrade to Beta, or November / December, and in the rest months just finish the tune up, and export to the world

Well, the game is 10 +hrs long, why would he take 3-4 days? Especially if he played it straight with only small breaks. Remember also Karl has played the game a bunch of times, I expect, so he knows the game pretty well by now and knows exactly where to go etc.

Actually i replay all of the TR games (in order) about every 3 months and i am quite a pro nowadays which means that if i get the new TR game i would probably become a pro with it almost like after 3 replays and if Karl can beat it in less than 4 days (which u stated 10+ hours if running foward and knowing what to do and not sight seeing which has been mentioned) then it means i will be able to complete it in what? 2 days? i think not. When i replay TR4 which is a 10+ hour game as well i take at least 6 days to finish it since i need breaks (playing too much = Headache). I hope it is as long as TR4 and that it can take me the time i take playing TR4 or even more but definitely not less . However i am still faithful that the first time i play it, i will be stuck a lot and will take at least 1 week completing it successfully, and at least 6 days when replaying.

I doubt he will say that because if he does people will be calculating and estimating the time he took and the results will be 10 hours, 1 minute.

In Podcast #6, Brian Horton said in the second portion that hitting Alpha means that the game is playable from the beginning to the end, but they are in like raw stages of some kind.

Maybe all Cinematics weren't included in the Alpha build.

Building and adding further maps is not one of them. It wouldn't be beta otherwise.
