The 2012 London Olympics, Coca Cola pin trading center has not included Greece on their map. Some Greeks that were there found out about it, as Coca Cola encourages you to pin your country on the map. To their surprise, the entire land of Greece was missing. They contacted the Greek embassy which communicated with the Coca Cola representatives. The official answer is that Greece is not missing, only its islands. But as you can clearly see, it's Italy, then the Aegeum sea and then Turkey.
I have seen many mistakes, but making a map for the Olympics and not including the country that has Olympia in it, the birthplace of the games is just insulting. I don't believe that they don't know how to make maps nowadays. http://www.insidethegames.biz/collec...e-in-hyde-park Here is a correct map for those not familiar with the area

It would be insulting for any country not to be there, but especially Greece, obviously, since, as you said, it's the birthplace of the Olympic Games. They can say what they want but Greece is clearly not there. Even I know how to make maps and they're supposed to be the professionals. Really embarrassing for them.

That map is all wrong in that area... you could say Greece is there... they show land where Greece should be; the problem is that it's melded in with what would be Turkey and right into where Israel and the rest of the Middle East should be.
It's just not very precise at all; the Mediterranean is too small, everything is scrunched up, and the Dead Sea is completely absent. It makes that whole region appear to be one big blob!

Just as well the map isn't the centre point of a geography class I guess. And Iceland is missing, Greenland too, lost under the enlarged UK.

I can see Greece on it. Not in detail (like most everything else), but it's there.

That map sucks a big time. No seas, no Antarctica. What would you expect it's coca cola.

That entire area's shape seems very off, so I wouldn't rule out a mere design flaw. Since none of the countries is defined with borders and names, we can't really say Greece isn't there, can we?

I think what LC is saying is that they could've (make that should've) done a much better job at this. Their map looks like something a grade school student would draw... not very professional to say the least. That said, I'm sure the Coca Cola company doesn't really care that much about it.

It could be infinitely better... I keep seeing more problems all over the place as I look at it. Accurate maps cannot be hard to come by/make. And they could have included national borders while they were at it. It's really just an ill-defined continental map.
