Reported today on the Dark Horizons site:
Universal has secured the movie rights to vidgame "God of War," created by Sony Computer Entertainment. Charles Roven and Alex Gartner will produce the feature adaptation reports Variety. Set in ancient Greece, vidgame follows the battles of the warrior Kratos, who tackles mythological beasts including Medusa, Cyclops and the Hydra. Players navigate Kratos on his quest to find Pandora's Box and destroy Ares, the god of war. The game was released in March. A scribe or helmer has not yet been attached to the project. |

Great, another movie to mess up. It's not even in production and i see it being bad. Games to film and Comics to films just don't work well.

If they pull this off, it could be rather good.
