Hi guys,
As some of you may have noticed (I mentioned this in another thread), I have many aquatic pets Here are some pictures of my precious African Dwarf Frogs. It's very difficult to tell them apart 90% of the time, but there is one difference: one of them is bigger. So if you can figure that out (sometimes I can't either), the bigger one is named Chunky, and the little one is named Dinky. Anyway, on to the pictures (click to enlarge): And at the risk of receiving crude comments, these last two pictures: Just to clarify the above: NO they are not mating, that's not possible, considering they are both male. And no, they're not gay Those two pictures were taken shortly after I fed them, and they always seem to nip at each other or 'wrestle' in competition for the food (which always seems to land in that one area of the tank). Either that or they're hugging... I dunno, I think it's cute, I just wish they wouldn't fight so much [ 08. August 2005, 21:34: Message edited by: Mary CF ] |

Cute!
Frogs must be a rather exotic pet. I sure don't know anyone with pet frogs! |

I do have pictures of my cat, but they don't seem to be on my computer at the moment... I'll do some digging and see if I have any high-quality pics of my fish (I have lots of fish though, at least 25-30 and they're all smaller than the tip of my pinky finger so I can't really get them all in one shot). I'll post a separate thread for my fish when I find some good pictures Just so you get an idea of how big these frogs are - they're about 2 inches long at their largest, but I'm going to guess mine are around 1 & 1/2 at most. I'm not sure though, as it's a bit tricky to put a ruler next to a squirmy, jumpy little frog (not to mention they're quite quick). I'm not going to stop here, though. As soon as I have enough spare cash (I think I need about $100 or so? not sure), I'm going to get a White's Dumpy Tree Frog. Those are sooooo adorable! Of course, they carry salmonella so if I were to pick one up and pet it or just hold it, I'd have to make sure to wash my hands afterwards (but I'd do that even if they didn't have salmonella). Here's a link to a picture of a dumpy tree frog: http://www.petoftheday.com/archive/2004/July/23.html I can't wait to get one When I do, which should be in the next few months, I promise I'll post some pictures. o.O "Hulk"? As in the movie about the green guy named the Hulk? I think I've seen it, but I don't remember anything about exploding frogs... oh wait maybe I do. I think I just blocked it from my mind, though. Either that or I wasn't paying attention, because the image doesn't register clearly in my mind.
As for you, focus, if you want one, by all means I think you should get one If you have any questions as to how to care for them, I could help you with that. |
