Its just a suggestion, but...
1. Hit Bill Gates over the head with a bananna... (loaded with cement, ermmm, er... I didnt say that) and shut down the Microsoft Corporation for developing none compatible versions of wonderful (yeah right) Windows XP. Otherwise: 2. Purchase of Copy of the not so perfect, but compatible version of Windows ME and replace Win XP - Not reccomended. 3. I found the same problems when I upgraded to XP. After debating whether or not to reformat and reinstall win ME/98, I was told about Hard Drive Caddies and Duel Boot. Duel boot allows you to run two different versions of windows on your hard drive, and a HDD Caddy drive, allows you to physically change hard drives. I have two harddrives that slot into the computer very easily, one loaded with Win XP (for work purposes) and one with ME (To run my games on). A HDD caddy with two Hard drives/caddy drawers of 60 & 80 GB set me back £105.00. This may be worth your investment! 4. I havnt found it to be much use personally, but there is a compatibility feature for software in Win XP. Try this. 5. GOD HELP YOU WHEN YOU TRY TO PLAY TOMB RAIDERS ON XP (AND GRAND THEFT AUTO 3 for that matter), YOU HAVE MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY. 6. Dreamweaver dont work for me either on XP. I hope I have been of some help, I would personally reccomend either a duel boot system or installing HDD Caddy, if you wish to spend more money on your new computer. Theres More........ Just one more thing (in the words of Columbo), whats the specs of your new computer just out of interest??? Regards, Dr. SATAN |

One question. Why did you have to re-register on this forum? XP should have nothing to do with that...
Plus, it is possible to get all TRs to work in XP. All of them work fine for me except TR1, which I still have to mess around with. I didn't even need any patches for TR4 or 5 like most people do. [ 13 January 2003, 04:36: Message edited by: Trinity ] |

Sleeper. Received your email. You do not need to register again because you have changed your email address. Providing you still remember your username and password (which you do hence above post) then nothing changes. Good luck with your new ISP.
