Hello Again. Some days ago I posted a message requesting help for making my level editor work, and after receiving some tips I told I would check everything, along with what I might think of, and tell the result again here.
Well, that result is that my level editor still doesn't work. Let me explain what happens more thoroughly: once I run the editor, the room window appears completely white, and the texture window, completely black. The computer then crashes, although it still continues with the programs open, if there are any. (and no, don't suggest to close all the programs before running the editor because I have already tried it). Strangely, I still am able to move the mouse arrow, but the editor can neither be closed nor minimized, so I have to reset the computer. And even the CTRL+ALT+DEL combination won't work, so that reset must be done manually. Well, that's what happens, now let me tell the results of your previous hints. #1) Checking the resolution. ---> I had the right resolution set (1024x768, 16 bit color), so that's not the problem. #2) Closing the program and trying again ------> The PC crashes after running the program, so that cannot be done. #3) Someone suggested it might be a problem os space-----> I have 700 MB free on my hard disk. Not the problem. #4) "Maybe the color is the problem" ----> I don't know what exactly that means. #5) Someone suggested the complete information might not be in my computer -------> The complete information IS in my computer. Well, that's all about it. Now, every idea will be welcomed. Thanks to you all in advance. Note: maybe is still after all due to not having a graphic card with 3D acceleration. When someone told me here in this site that wasn't the problem because he hadn't a graphic card and the editor worked in his computer, I breathed with relief, but maybe there is any difference between his computer and mine, which makes mine need the graphic card, who knows... By the way, don't suggest buying a graphic card and trying it. Please, suggest whatever you can think of. I have no idea of what to do. Thank you, and see you later.
