Hi Lady_EnycaCroft...
Well, I don't work at CORE but you can take a look at Tomb Raider Chronicles site for the Minimum and Recommended system requirements. You can also take a look here to check the opinion of the other members of our forums...

Hi Lady_EnycaCroft. Sounds like you are a little bit confused. Windows ME is a operating system which is something that is used as an interface between the computer and the software.
The specifications listed are for the hardware of your computer. Just check the specifications for the computer you have now. Check and see which processor you have and the hard drive memory, etc.... Windows ME is only an operating system.

The operating system is the interface between the PC (machine) and the user (human). She just worries if WinME can run AOD as happens to the other OS which can't run TR games (so many posts with the same problem). Lady_EnycaCroft don't worry. Windows ME is newer than Win98 (which is listed in the Minimum system requirements). "Minimum system requirements" means that you must have at least Win98 in order this game to run. But you have WinME which is newer than Win98.
As Trinity34 said, check your hardware. Besides, there will be patches and fixes (if there will be a problem)as happened to all TR games...

I have a one big question.
Witch Windows is more better for new games like AOD (with DirectX 8.1). Is that is Win2000, Winme or WinXP??? (my system is Celeron700,128MB,videao is Geforce2 MX400 64MB) and how do you think what is my computer's details level in AOD??? (low, medium or high). Please...somebody support me!!!

The Recommended operating system is Win2K/XP and the Minimum is Win98. What OS are you using? The video card that AOD is based is Geforce3 but I don't think that there will be a problem with Geforce2 (I have the same as you and I won't change it). You can also have DX8.1 (it's easy to download). I don't know about your processor because the Recommended are PIII 1 Ghz and Athlon 1 Ghz. The Minimum is a 500 Mhz processor... You are at the limit with your RAM (128MB is in both Recommended and Minimum requirements)
But all these (at least the Minimum) are not the final system requirements... On my opinion you are in a medium level... (as me )...

Windows ME? ME was the worst operating system Microsoft EVER came out with. If you're going to do an upgrade, go XP since it's bases on 2k and NT technology. ME is a very unstable operating system.
I've got to go out and buy a new vid card. Mine is a piece of **** for a new computer. I'm running Win XP Pro, a P4 2.2GHz processor, 512 megs of memory, and two hard drivees (60 and 30 gigs). [ 08 September 2002: Message edited by: Trinity ]</p> |

On my opinion, Win2000 was the worst!!! Win98 the best!!!!
I'm running WinXP Pro too but I'm not so pleased... Although there are some features I like and you can't find them in other operating systems...
