after i finished the 3rd level and the load screen popped up, a few seconds later it crashes to the desktop and a window popped up and said something like "generic game error, invalid symbol" and it always happens when it loads the 4th level...
i have windows XP and i have all the patches installed. i doubt anyone can solve this problem though...

A tech geek might be more useful in explaining what's the cause of this error, but I can tell you that I have encountered it a few times, too. Most probably, you can solve the problem by loading a previous savegame. At least this remedy worked for me ![]() [ 29. November 2003, 01:59: Message edited by: Nicky ] |

According to the official Eidos site, a way to try remedying this is to use the Task Manager to close all programs running in the background and to make sure no other programs are open at the same time. Your computer may just be running out of free RAM at that point every time, and memory would be freed by closing unnecessary programs.

Greetings and welcome aboard. If you're packing the latest drivers and patches for AOD, then I would suggest downloading a game save and continuing the next level.
