do you remember when adrian smith has said these words?... maybe in february ...
I'm very confused about the tr's evolution... i don't know if i should have to be happy for the new game... or if i should be sad because the tomb raider will be changed totality what do you think about it? |

I think a lot of people will share those mixed feelings.
I'm very happy to see that Lara is going to continue her legacy. I'm enjoying the TR series and am excited to find out what her future adventures will be. I like the variety we've been offered in location and combat styles. I love that we're getting more and more control over Lara's movements and that she has more movements available to her, although I would like to see gamers get total control rather than have a cut scene do the work for us. On the other hand, I'm disappointed to hear that her lifestyle is taking a turn for the worse. I'm not sure I want to see Lara as a criminal and alcoholic druggie--it's different if she's trying to prove her innoncence after wrongfully being accused of a crime, but I don't want her to become a common theif or murderer. There had better be a really good plot explaining what made her life drastically change. They can't go from having her burried in a tomb and jump to havng her in the gutters on a street without telling us what happened (or making it part of the game we play out). I like the futuristic (or current) settings and plots, but I don't want her to totally abandon her roots of exploring tombs or ancient societies, and it would be nice to have more gameplay in her past. Keep mixing things up to keep everyone happy--those who like tombs may get an anceint setting and those who liked the stealth manuevers will get that too. But I think I'm most upset at the fact that Playstation 1 users are being overlooked--Next Generation isn't offered on this platform. I can't afford to invest in PS2 based solely on the reason of keeping up with the new TR games, and I can't load down my Mac's memory with games so it looks like my days of following of TR have come to an end.

Iagree i think Lara cant just abandon everything and start again if she ends up on the streets it has to be clear why. I dont think she should totally abandon Tomb Raiding hopefully they'll be a range of locations.

Is is true that she does lose her memory then? I'm just hoping they don't make Lara into something she's not, she's not the theif/druggie type..but then who knows after you lose your memory. I agree, I hope if this is how it's going to be in NexGen they explain the story well enough to know how it came to be. Does anyone else know what the NexGen mean? It is still Lara right??

I have the same trouble with the Playstation. I don't know if I want to spend $200-$300 on a PS2. But I do have a computer. If I do decide to play Next Generation on my computer I will probably have to upgrade it.

Must have had my head in the sand. This is the first that I've heard about tr no longer to being available on psx. Cost of a ps2 in Canada is $499.99. I already have a good dvd player and that part should have been made optional.I object to being forced to pay for something extra in order to get the basic element(game play).
