Official Tomb Raider 8 Suggestion Thread For Attention Of Crystal Dynamics
Just to limit the amount of threads i though i'd make this, a suggestion to CD to what to include in the next game:
-CD keep the Legend engine it was fun and brilliant, optimise it a little and it will be perfect. -The Mansion was great and the inside brought back memories, The outside was a little small but nice, Please please in TR8 expand it to Gardens, a Maze, and more rooms. Also let us see the front of the house. -Keep Zip and Alistar and the Headset. This was an excellent addition and I love the characters. Let Winston do a bit more though, put him on the headset. -Make the Tomb alot more dangerouse with fewer mercenries, more high falls and fatal deathtraps. -Could u Make some refrences to past TR's. The Natla crates were funny and a nice easter egg. -Make the Levels longer. -More animals, wild creatures roaming about. -Most importantly keep up the stnadards of TRL and u wont go wrong. |

Yes!
I agree with everything u said too!
- When playing in the "Tomb raider" difficutly remove all the hints and the autograb function! That way the old hardcore Tomb Raiders will be happier! |

Yeah everything there is good - especially the maze and gardens!
Maybe she should get a car... |

Agreed
- Don't explain everything to us as we go along, we aren't stupid. We don't need the hints. - Make the puzzles challenging! |

i also agree!
a few more things; * add better vehicle sections such as driving a Jeep * make it a little bit scarier * explain what happened in tr4 |

- Have different difficulty levels again for people who've never played TR.. but this time.. make the difficulties a lot more different.. so make easy relatively easy.. and make hard REALLY hard..
- Have more underwater action.. when you're underwater there's always more danger cause you can drown.. (i used to hold my breath sometimes with the sharks in TR2) - Definitely keep the headset, but no more obvious hint and no more shiny objects.. it's more fun when i discover something on my own.. - More vehicles, but this time make the road more complicated and not so linear.. (you can put the ducati motor back in.. the fast one from japan.. that one rocks) - Make the road of the whole game more complicated.. so we have to figure out where to go by ourselfs.. i loved that - Whatever you do.. don't put the whole pull-a-switch-here-open-a-door-there system back in.. been there done that.. keys and stuff are ok.. a switch here and there to.. but not in a way that 90% of the game excists of pulling switches and finding doors Last edited by LegenDarY; 16-04-06 at 15:10. |

I would say keep the auto grab, but make jump sequences more challenging so it put our reflex to the limit
If TR8 gonna keep the combat of TRL, please revamp the AI. Design puzzles like a mission, not as weight scales. please make the levels non-linear...or at least give us access to areas that are not mission relevent. Just two cutscenes per level, one at the begining, one at the end. Last edited by Lost_Raider; 16-04-06 at 15:14. |
