Ok, so I couldn't hang on after all!

Playing with Joy to key, rather than keyboard, I wobbled all over the place. I found it very difficult to make Lara run in a straight line. But the bonus was, in wobbling, I fell off a spot that I previously thought Lara would get hurt. She didn't, and so I finished the level quicker. Having said that, she seems to move a whole lot faster on the pc than she does on PS anyway. Level was of course dead easy. Now I gotta tackle the wolves at the start of the next level! :S

Here's a screenshot of my stats for level 1 Caves.

Hi ya Net
I can't believe you'd all start at midnight, LOL! It's nearly 3pm here on the 1st Sept.
Anyway, how is joytokey going for you? What gamepad are you using? I'm having major issues with my gamepad and as the final gamepad button is Lara's sidestep right (pagedown on the keyboard) the configuration seems to jam and causes everything on the PC to try to "pagedown" - how weird is that? Wish there was a help feature somewhere on the programme.

Where is everybody? Am I playing this by myself?!
I'm not doing all kills, which is why the tally is only 10 - I missed the wolves in the small cave

Too hard for me? LOL, you can now check my stats (Image reposted above) JTK is going fine for me. I said to you in the other thread that I needed to remap my Page Down and Delete keys for side steps. Try it, I did so to R & L. The gamepad I am using is a Thrustmaster Firestorm dual analogue 3 (12 buttons)

Commentary. The first set of wolves were interesting. Normally I would simply run forward through the doors, but they all attack (4) and you have little chance of no scratch I think. I couldn't manage it, so instead, I turned left immediately through the doors to tackle two down the stairs, easy enough, roll, and tackle the next two that come down the stairs at you. Then back up and around the outer passage anti-clockwise for wolf 5, easy enough. At this point I'd normally carry on anti-clock wise to reach wolf 6 by the medpack, but he is a real bugger I found. If you go straight ahead he jumps out on you and bites. If you linger he comes behind you (never seen that before, bloody well made me jump!). So I back-tracked and went clockwise and tackled him from the other side. Much easier.

When you've eventually put the key in the door and passed the darts, the next 2 wolves are easy, the next 3 tricky. Wolf left easy, but as soon as you target this wolf, wolf right comes at you, as does wolf front right. The problem is when you've shot wolf left Lara targets wolf front right next (the furthest from her) and wolf right can get to you, so you just have to be careful how you manage this.

The end of the level was a bit of a panick for me. The final door didn't open when I put the artefact in. I've never had that before and I thought oh no I'm going to have to do all that again from the darts! I ran about a bit and to my relief the door opened!. So had it opened immediately my time would have been a little quicker.

Anyway, here are my stats for level 2 City of Vilcabamba:

At last I can post the first stats! Believe it or not, I couldn't locate the 7th pickup I had to replay the level just for one silly medipack
