Thanks for all your questions. There were quite a lot this time so I had to speed the interview up at times.





















So, finally I have arrived to interview Lara Croft! Winston guides me to Lara who is sitting down on the stairs. Alister is deep in though by the fireplace, I can’t see Zip.


Hello Lara, I have some questions from the people of Tomb Raider Forums for you. Shall we begin?

1. What's up with those blouses that look like they're a bathing suit? Are there little buttons in the crotch area that connect the front and the back of the blouse?

I'm not interested in fashion. I suggest you ask Alister about my clothes.

2. What's up with Zip's webcam?

I'm not sure I know what you mean. I know he uses them to monitor security.

3. What is your most cherished memory? Most hated?

Oh I have far too many to pick one.

(do you mean cherished or hated memories? I ask.)

1) whats your secret to being so thin

Am I really 'so thin' ? I hate diets, so I just excercise and, sometimes, eat healthy. (she smiles)

I'm afraid you have lost me.

I certainly hope not! (she laughs merrily)

4) whats your views on winston and alister.

I love both of them, truly I do.

5) do you approve of hidden cameras in your bedroom

Well, that depends by whom they have been hidden! (a cheeky grin!)

1. Did you read the interviews with your "servants", and if yes, what is your opinion about them?

No, sorry, would you recommend I do so?

(I tell her not to worry about it)

2. Why did you agree to this interview?

Because it was scheduled to commence at the same time as Alister's gardening tutorial, you musn't tell him I said so!

3. Why weren't you in the van with Zip and Alister when going to Cornwall? Wouldn't Zip let you sit up front?

I just loved riding my bike along the coast, but to be honest, the Ducati is depressingly slow. I intend to sell it and give the money to charity. And Zip will do as he is told!

4. How can such a small bundle like a medipack heal anything, including broken bones and the likes, and who is putting them all over ruins that were lost for thousands of years? Do you need special medical training to use them?

What a puzzling question...

(She looks baffled, takes a moment to consider then answers)

...Well I do come across herbal medicine in the field. I learnt all about them at school. Winston also prepares an assortment of antidotes
before I leave.

5. Where is your mother?

That is what I am trying to find out. I'd rather not go into detail at the moment.

1. Is Alister gay? Gay as in homosexual?

You should ask him yourself!

(I tell her I already did many times! But he did not answer)

Well then, I refuse to comment! (She laughs)

2. You've suddenly switched from a braid to a ponytail. Why is this?

Am I not too old for braided hair? In its defence, ponytails do not get tangled as much.

3. What do you think of Angelina Jolie?

Who? (She genuinely does not know I think)

4. Do you ever play video games?

I do not. Though, now you mention it, Zip put some on my PDA, but I dare not play them.

(She takes it out of her pocket and shows me, she goes through various menus and comes to 'Games'
I can see; 'Lara Xtreme Beach ball' and 'Lara's Fantasy Poker’)

(She sighs and gives me a knowing look)

5. How would you describe your hair colour?

I'm not sure (she shouts down at Alister)

What colour is my hair Alister?

(He replies immediately, 'Mahogany, with a hint of medium copper’)

1. Who was your first kiss?

Someone at school. It was dark…why am I telling you this!?

2. What is your most prized artefact to date?

My mother’s broach.

3. Even if you deny it in your biography, we know you've visited all those cool places, what's been your favourite?

I love going to Tibet and Nepal, and West Africa, and South America… (she laughs!)

4. Do you have any pet-hates?

Perhaps I do. (again, she shouts down at Alister!)

Alister! Do I have any pet hates?

(he turns round, unhappy to have been disturbed again)

Look Lara, I cant find the way to Aval…(he looks at me and stops talking)

Just answer the question! (lara demands)

(now furious Alister storm out of the room, Lara runs after him and shouts back at me…)

Sorry, lets continue in the library! Meet you there soon!

(so I go to the library, its empty. I walk up a small staircase and go into a smaller room)

(There is a desk with a PC, and some books open. I go for a closer look.)

(I notice one drawer is ajar. Carefully, I slide it open and take a small envelope that was inside)

(Inside the envelope are a couple of old Polaroid photographs, and an old, worn piece of paper, I take a closer look…)






(I try to make out the handwriting on the letter but its difficult to read, seems hurried)








(I hear the door downstairs opening, so I put them back and close the drawer)

(she comes up, and apologises for Alister’s behaviour, and we continue the interview)


5. What's your view on George Bush?

It’s a nice day today, why do you wish to mention him?

1. When you were in Ghana, when you lost contact with Alister and Zip, and after you found that thing that belonged to your mother, why do you only call Zips name, and ask with a littly girly voice "Where are you? "? Is it more between you and Zip then friendship? I got the impression you had a crush on him or something. Hehe.

Indeed I wish I could remember everything I saw, but I cannot. I most certainly DO NOT have a ‘crush’ on Zip. I sometimes get the impression he feels something for me.

2. Who's your favourite? Zip or Alister? Maybe Winston?

That one.

3. Who's your favourite parent?

What an odd question. I love both of my parents.

4. Why did you let Amanda live in Bolivia?

Because I do not believe in killing people because you think they deserve it.

1/ Do you ever consider settling down? At all? Perhaps with Zip? Apparently he likes you!

Apparently so! Why would I want to settle down? I want to live my life to the fullest. I already told you what I think of Zip.

2/ I imagine all your adventures have quite an effect on your skin yet you always look quite lovely, how do you do it?

It worries me that you worry about my skin. I use sun cream at all times. Thank you for the compliment however!

3/ Is it not uncomfortable/hot doing your job in a figure hugging catsuit?

Overcoming such feelings is what one must do to succeed.

4/ Where did you buy your bed? Ikea?

I should think not! The bed has been here far longer than I.

(among the upper classes, it is sometimes considered humiliating to have to buy furniture, as it suggests you have not inherited anything)

You expect me to think Winston asked these!? He never need ask that, he knows he does.

3. Do you have a favourite car?

Yes, but I won’t tell you. I will tell you they are made in England.

4. Do you think that monster-thing turned Amanda evil? or was it a natural thing?

No doubt it did do something to her, what though; I cannot say (she looks unhappy)

5. Where are you headed next?

For a quick swim.

I’ve known both for a long time and I trust them equally. But I don’t trust Alister with my vehicles. He crashed my quad bike, and when we were in Cornwall he crashed my jet ski into one of those banana boats and nearly drowned. (she laughs!)

2. did you always have this attitude since you were young?

How can I answer that? I have always been myself.

3. Do you like pets or animals?

No. Zip likes great danes though, but I do not wish to have them running amock.

4. Do like showing off your body? you’re always like half naked.

Would you rather I wear a blanket over my head? Its just a body! We all have one do we not?

5. Are you boobs real?

(I open my eyes…Lara is standing over me and Alister is holding a travel fan by my face)

My musical tastes are very eclectic; we don’t have time to get into that.

Well, I did gymnastics when I was younger so I would do that.

I enjoy all of them, well most.

4: What is the dumbest question you've ever been asked?

The boobs question takes the prize, sorry! (she laughs loudly.)

No, my interest is in our past and what remains of it.

2) How do you stay warm in those frosty places - like Nepal? I'm from mountains myself so I know that warm clothing isn't any good as it only prolongs the time before you get cold.

Well is it not the point of warm clothing to prolong the onset of cold? That is why I wear them.

3) It's been said that you have a postgraduate education completed. At which university may I ask (and if I may, what is the answer?)

I am not a graduate so I think you have been misled. I have however taken courses at several British universities.

4) Do you use the possibilities of being a Countess or do you rather refrain from it?

Do I exploit my title? Of course I do. It is because of my heritage I can live here and do as I please.

5) This is a silly one - but do you watch (or read) Star Trek?

I have seen some episodes, but science fiction is not for me.

Why should anyone feel intimidated by anyone else? Well there was one man, well sort of dragon man… no you would not believe me.

3. You seem to have quite a lovely mane. Fitting for a commercial! But why do you keep your hair long? Is it a personal preference? And what shampoo do you use?

I love my mane too! Its fun to have long hair. I use… (a fire alarm goes off)… it does wonders for my hair!

4. What is the brand of the dress you wore in Nishimura's corporate party in Japan? How did you choose it?

Oh god, alister would know…I think it was vintage Gucci. He almost cried when he saw what happened to it in Tokyo.

5. Do you wish Amanda would've stayed the way she was before the incident in Paraiso? Tell me about your relationship with her apart from what has been disclosed in Ms. Evert's biography.

I met her when she was an exchange student at Gordonstoun. She came to visit me sometimes, but Winston took a dislike to her, and asked me never to allow her to return. Of course I wish the incident in Paraiso had not taken place, but I cannot change the past… (she looks down thoughtfully)
