Default svchost.exe - Application Error

---------------------------
svchost.exe - Application Error
---------------------------
The exception unknown software exception (0xc0000409) occurred in the application at location 0x5b86a3c0.

---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

I keep getting this error message about 20-40 or even shorter than that minutes from dialing my internet. It says i'm still connected but pages etc won't show up. And if I try dialing again it connects but still acts as if I have no internet by bringing up no pages.

Can anyone help please??? This is really annoying me having to restart my computer.

Try running Adaware and Spybot. It sounds like a spyware/malware problem.

You are on dial up Lavinder? I didn't know that, thought you had broadband.

It may be a modem problem. If your modem is USB, try unplug/plug it again.

Nope not on dial up. On broadband, but I have to press dial to get it connected. You get what I mean?

My modem use to be a chip thing that you put in the pc but my dad changed it to another modem that we have which is a USB one because he thought that it was the modem playing up but we still get the error.

The error only seems to be happening since my dad tried to get this computer to share the internet with my sisters computer because it stopped doing so a couple of months ago.

Grrr just got error again, so I had to copy and save this message and post it as soon as I restarted my computer again

We just got over 200 new PC's that were having this very same problem. Here is how we solved it:

1. Turn off Windows Auto Updates

2. Remove Framework .NET - all versions

3. REINSTALL Office - Do Not remove just use the reinstall in add remove programs

4. Run WinASO Registry Optimizer 2.6 or 2.7 - Clean & optimize

5. Reboot the system.

6. Update the device drivers (downloading first from your PC manufacturer website...i.e. support.dell.com) IN THIS ORDER: chipset drivers, network adapter drivers, video and then audio (Make sure you get the IP before you do the drivers updates sometimes it uninstalls the NIC card* first. Run the driver install again if it does)

7. Run Windows Updates manually - update everything except .NET (unless you are running a program that specifically uses .NET)

8. Turn Auto Updates back on and update the NIC driver from the manufacturer website (i.e. www.broadcom.com)

Ok, i'll ask my dad to do that if my first option does not work!

In Sunbelt Kerio Personal Firewall it had svhost.exe deneyed and I enabled it half an hour ago, and so far my internet has stayed on !!! It would usually have an error after 5 minutes!

I'm so excited... fingers crossed everyone!!!!
