I agree mate. Any sequels will more than likely use already established games - Legend being graphically the next choice. (I don't see how it would change that game to much )

Legend is already almost like a DVD game, l doubt if they would ever bother with it. The licence Bright Technology has is for the AOD story characters etc, so most likely if they decide it is worth while they would do the next part of the trilogy. Also they would sell more of a game that had not had all the exposure of Legend

Have you played Dreamfall - The Longest Journey? That is an interactive movie (and a very good one). If you use that as a benchmark for what a non-interactive game is, then Legend is certainly not one.

But on a general level, I have to agree. There are very little points in Legend where you actually have a choice how to progress. I would think that Legend's thousands of rewards could partly help here, but probably not much. Besides, many of Legend's challenges focus on getting the controls right (jumping from bar to bar), which is already too easy in the real game. This could hardly be left in a DVD game in any way that poses a challenge.

Still, Legend seems to be a more logical choice. My idea is simply: If the makers of the DVD game had the ressources to make a complete TR game (even only as a DVD game, which probably takes far less ressources because exploration is completely impossible), why would they go and use AoD? I also don't think that the DVD game will be such a raving success that they will be really to afford making a new game from scratch after this. Besides, Legend's large exposure is not a disadvantage at all. I would rather think that a Legend DVD game can profit from this (though I believe that by the time it ships, many who are not interested in Tomb Raider will have forgotten about Legend). The DVD game has a completely different target audience, so I think that competition between a real TR and a DVD TR will be minimal.

Dreamfall is a interactive movie? Wow, now i understand, why it had taken me about 5 days to complete that game, while my sister didn't watch all the films, only played, and that took her about 5 hours...
