Help with TR 1 PC

hi, i have been trying for a long while now to get this game working but no good and hope if that if share my problem with you i can finally start playing it like i did the ps1 version.

1. Installing without special installer, i try to do this but it crashes on 100%.

2. Using installer gets it to work but 50% of the time crashes on main menu, when loaded the graphics is perfect but the sound of guns or lara voice is like crackly is this my sound card or configuration of VDMS sound?

Im using Xp pro with service pack 2, 5600 Nvidia graphics card, and if i read this right C-Media AC97 (on board)

Also can you link me to download the music cause i have the sold out version please?
