Tomb Raider III basic Walkthrough

Good day,
I know it's being a long time that Tomb Raider III is outhere...
and believe it or not...I just started playing with it..just now.
And I feel bad asking you newbie questions, but I have to ... since
I got no answers in the manuals of Tomb Raider III or any other docs
I found.
My question:
I started Tomb Raider III by accessing the passport icon in the main menu.
I then have Lara Croft standing up at the peek of a mountain.
Using the control keys of the game I can only go down that mountain.
Doing so, I end up in a trapping hole and from there, I cannot jump from that hole (yes..I used the "jump" control key in vain) and my adventure goes nowhere from there.
I reloaded the game, and tried to go to the left or the right (instead of having Lara Croft going right down in front of her)...but Lara ends at the end of a peak..and cannot jump down from there. She only can go back..to the first scenario! I've read all manuals...understood the control and action keys...but they dont help me to go ahead in my adventure.
Sorry..sorry for such basic questions...but I really woud like to enjoy that game.

PS: I found some walktrhough for TR3 such as:

but...they seem not to be related with my situation. The 1st situation I encounter is not
what is described in those docs.
I have "Tomb Raider III - The Adventure of Lara Croft" for windows pcs.

1st of all, you posted in the Tr1 section instead of the Tr3 section.

2nd of all, do you mean the first level where you have to slide down a hill/mountain? If so then all I can say is jump repeatedly down the slope and watch out for the pits with spikes in them. I don't recall a 'hole' you can get stuck in. Either you fall in the spikes, fall on a flat area of the slope, or just keep continuing down the slope until you reach the bottom.

Welcome to the forum, aromes

If you are stuck right at the beginning, either do as Camera describes, or start sliging without pressing any keys, and only press Jump + Forward as you approach a spike pit to make Lara jump over it.

There's really nothing else you can do along that slide (except for if you want a secret), and your aim is indeed to reach the end of the slide.

If this isn't the place where you are stuck, can you please be a bit more specific so that we can help you better?
