If you want her to hold a dart before throwing it, you will need to add the dart to her hand in the crossbow anim.

Ok. I am having problems with Meta. Probably because most of what I have (as in readme and help) are in Japanese. I can't tell if the crossbow bolt is the right size. I think i may need something slightly bigger. I also want (but it isn't necessary) the strips on the ends of darts that make them more aerodynamic (hope i spelled that right
)

You mean the fletching (fins on the darts).
I've never used Meta, so someone else will have to help you with it. But I'm sure there is a way to change the language. |

Yes! I didn't know the technical term
the "fletching"...But I think the dart will look fine without it. My main concern is that the dart won't be big enough. I can't get the ratios correct, even with the new tutorial on Meta that's being written here

I gave up on the fletching
I think I have a big enough dart. I moved it and put it in twice, since there were two crossbows in the crossbow animation (one where her hand should be and on her back). How do I save it? I saved it as an .mgo and as an AutoCAD file. I need to get it into WADmerger, i think...

A mesh made in Meta needs to be saved as .dxf, which is the AutoCAD format.
You now need Strpix to import the mesh into the wad. It is easiest to take a wad which already has the crosbow animation object and the crossbow bolt object in it. You can then select those meshes in Strpix and import your custom made meshes. (copying over the original ones).

Should the item, once I copy over, look different? I found my mesh #ll, which should be the crossbow, and it still looks like Natla's mutated arm, even after I copy over it

Now you will have to texture it.

But it is still the shape and everything of Natla's arm. Nothing changed. Is that normal?

Using the import button to the left of the screen? The object doesn't change at all. I made the dart in Lara's crossbow animation, so how should it know which mesh to import, because if I'm thinking correctly about what a mesh is, there were several meshes in the crossbow animation.
