Native English Speaker.

Tho, I've been told I speak as if I'm from a different country because I'm common. I hate that word, sounds so... "I'm better than you."

I would love to see xcrushterx's sources first, but if such a research were to have any point it would have to be carried out among speakers of languages from one group only, as they are comparable. English/Spanish/German might be easy for Indo-Europeans, but I bet the Chinese are scratching their heads trying to figure out what the heck they need so much useless grammar for.

Lol, I've decided to try.
My father and I want to learn it together so i guess it helps that I'm not trying to learn it on my own.

It depends on the context you're using it in

Standard English can be easy to learn, yes, but if you know a little basic English and move to a place with lots of regional dialect, you will get very confused.

Tampi i wouldn't say that your 'barely able to speak English', you know the basics, and you can get across what your trying to say. I think you've improved a lot since you started the forum, keep it going bud, and you'll be fluent in no time.
