I love Keeley Hawes's rendition of Lara Croft. I don't know about more lines for Lara, she doesn't exactly strikes me as the type who talks to herself alot. Maybe if they added more useful / interesting lines for her journal?

The rest of the cast are also exemplary however since I don't know any of them... LOL

Ok but this time I shall do it in drips and drabs just to be safe. So I'll start off with my Lady love, Lara.

Lara Croft

There were a number of differences I noticed in Lara in Anniversary from both Legend and classic Tomb Raiders, namely TR1. One such difference is the tone of her voice when speaking to others. For example, think back to when Lara question Larson about the other Scion pieces outside the Tomb of Qualopec in TR1. For the majority of the scene there wasn't really any sort of aggression or coldness to her voice despite the fact that she's practically just shot him to pieces. Yet fastfoward to Anniversary Lara, pinning Larson down and jamming the barrel of her pistol to his cheek and demanding to know about the other pieces. 'Where's the rest of it?' she growls. Staying with Larson, if we look at the scene where he meets his sticky end, Lara still shows fierce aggresion towards him. I remember feeling a delightful tingle when she quietly but frightningly uttered the words 'I'm not who you think I am.'Now while Lara was amazing in her vicious ways, Keeley always protrayed her fear flawlessly. To Kold, you can hear the fear in her voice. 'Unless you want to end up like Larson, get out of my way.' She's almost pleading with him, she doesn't want to kill again but she will if she has to. And of course, her delightful banter with Pierre was most enjoyable.

Hmm, I had much more written about Lara's voice in Anniversary first time so this is just a streamlined version. Next I'll be writing about Natla of Atlantis.

A word on the german voice acting:

All characters but Larson were great!
Of course, especially Lara! You've to know that the german versions have the same great Lara voice since 1996!

I love Keeley as Lara; She has such a great range within her voice, something Judith and certainly Shelley lacked.

Keeley performs all the "attitude" lines; "I'm not who you think I am" "Yes...it is" with great aplomb.
Yet she moves into the funnier lines " Talk about being your own worst enemy" easily.
The strength of emotion in lines such as " I'm sorry, father" is also dazzling!
She is certainly the most all rounded Lara we've had so far (hopefully shes here to stay)

Another voice that truly stood out was that of Grey Delise(sp?), Natla. Her lines were consistently conveyed in the perfect tone. The marriage between in-game animation and VA for Natla was truly amazing (Take a look at all her subtle expressions in Ambushed! End of SOTS cs)

Well, Keeley is a professional actress! She is on TV all the time, so I'd expect her to be brilliant at voice acting

Did Keeley do any VO for this game in other languages? The credits doesn't show and I don't know if Ms. Hawes speaks French or not... (I'm sure the German and Spanish VO are done by other people).

She is a professional actress, true. That however does not automatically qualify her as a great VO artist. I can think of many professional actresses/actors who didn't quite stack up, despite their on- screen acting abilities

That is true, look at Cameron Diaz in Shrek. Hollywood often tries to pack all their animated movies with celeb VO and the results are not always pleasant. However I think ms. Hawes did a good job and the rest of the cast were professional VAs from LA and i think they did a good job for the most part.
