Post a Picture of your gaming corner. Either TV, consoles, PC, anything that is your own personal gaming space.

(sorry if there was already a thread like this, I searched and couldn't find any)

Edit: Heres my own gaming corner

Micki, you've got more atmosphere there than any of the classic TR levels! :p
Seriously, that's a nice place, do you always have it like that in the evenings? it looks like something straight out of a film...

As for my set-up its more about the things around it than the hardware itself. For example the many pictures pinned against the desk doors, the books scattered about and various other little items of personal value.

Cute kittie, I love cats :tmb:That's me! A hopeless romantic! The room will look much better when I get new curtains, more plants and different coloured pillows (brown/wine red). :D And hopefully a new tv stand as well. That bookshelf/tv stand thing is so old. And you can't even see the egyptian statues I have on it!

And yep! They rule! My laptop is atleast twice as powerful as my old pc. And 5 times smaller and takes less space, lol. :D

Thanks. The other kitty is sleeping behind the bookshelves. That fat garfield..

@Tom: Thanks! Yup! I lit up candles every evening! I like the cozynes! You should come for a visit! :D

Woah you play games with a trackball?

I play games with one, and tbh it's a million times better than a regular mouse! You never need to pick it up and put it back in the middle of the mousemat or run out of space when you're in an intense fragging session, it's quicker to move around (just flick it with your fingers to spin round 180 degrees instantly), and your arm never gets tired moving it around. It's more accurate than any mouse I've ever tried, and it never jumps around or sticks. And it only cost £20, compared to the £40 or £50 you'd need to spend to get a 4-button regular mouse that performs as well. :tmb:

13-01-08, 16:07
Lol, but then after another week you'll be even better... :D To be fair though I've been using this trackball for five or six years... There is a bit of a learning curve if you've been using regular mice for ages, cos your fingers have no idea how to work independently, and you click with your thumb instead of your fingers.

We should play online together.:cln: I'm SaveCheerleader SaveWorld on it. What are you?

Ay? You mean the game? That was just the demo I tried a while ago.

I play games with one, and tbh it's a million times better than a regular mouse! You never need to pick it up and put it back in the middle of the mousemat or run out of space when you're in an intense fragging session

Not if you get a laser mouse - mine is so sensitive that I only have to move it slightly and the cusor goes flying around the screen. It annoys anyone who uses my computer, as they are not used to it, but I am. And that only cost me £20 from a computer fair too :p (doesn't mean I am any good with it).

I'll take a piccie later. My cameras all messed up. So basically, imagine a room. There is sofa in on one end, and on one wall is a 46 " flat screen plasma. Directly behind the sofa is a shelf full of games. There is a computer desk with a gaming PC in the corner. There is a wireless keyboard and mouse on the sofa for use with PS3/XBOX 360. There is an PS3, XB360, and a WII all plugged into the TV. There is a PSP lying in a case on the computer desk. There are a dozen remotes taped together. That's it. :wve:

In a way it's not really wasteful; he's getting a lot of use and enjoyment out of that entertainment system. Now, if he simply bought macbooks to light his house with and had button beside his bed that burned the unmade bed and replaced it with a brand-new one, then yes, that'd be wasteful.

Bloody hell, I presume that's a custom build? That's some delicious hardware.

How do you manage to keep the cables orderly and neat? Mine's so chaotic I'm often lucky if I can get the case to close properly. o_O

Yes custom build, 6 months research and plammimg. went through 3 motherboards and 2 cases, 2 graphics card to get to this stage, about the neatness, just set like 1 hours aside at the beginning to plan where you are going to route the cables, and make sure you have the cable ties handy as well the the black electrical tape, it was neater before but adding the extra 250GB Scorpio made the sata cables messy, could fix it but can't be bothered, of the 4 hard drives i'm running they all have extension sata powerdata cables, so 8 extra cables, but I managed to hide most of them in the hard drive area, been working with small cases for a while so you learn how to hide stuff....:D

My DVB-S2 card is playing up, either that or the software, need to swap that out for a capture card maybe, and the X-Fi is buggy, keeps resetting audio channels need to change for a Prelude but no money...

Also need to replace the BD-ROM with a BD Writer/HD-DVD Rom, but so far so good, games literally fly and well silent gaming is a joy, the HR-03 120mm Fan Mod on the 8800GTX is a must for anyone, the stock cooler is really bad

Gaming advantage... That is a real strange excuse to buy a pricy keyboard?

All keyboards do the same thing they do commands that your fingers tell it to. *I find it quite interesting.* Any way, I like Mac keyboards but there isn't that much a difference between keyboards.

I've had my old G15 since they first came out almost 2 years ago and still love it. The only problem I've ever had is the letters fading from being used. But then again I never look down at the keyboard when I type anyways. I only wish they kept the old design on the G15s, the newer ones aren't Blue and have alot less Gkeys from what I see. :( Looks like they took a step backwards

The newer ones have 6 G keys down the side, and 3 extra buttons above them to switch between profiles, so you basically still have 18 available. And I really liked the orange on the new one - my room's got loads of orange stuff in it and the keyboard fitted right in. :( Blue looks wierd to me, too cold.

I'm thinking of getting this keyboard now, once I get my cash back for that G15:

Being honet G 15 keyboard isn't all it seems. Yes the whole switching to game mode so when you press the window kill it wont suspend it but other than that you never really end up using the G 1-18 keys. But The way you contol the volume in the middle and having a screen saying you got 2 bullets etc left is quite handy.

Clever Grace forgets she's taking a long exposure, and the Internet lures her away from the camera before it finishes taking the shot. -_- Lazy Grace couldn't be bothered taking another one.

The keyboard's this one (http://www.ideazon.com/us/products/mercstealth.asp) and I LOVE IT SO MUCH. If you know how often I go through keyboards you'll know that this is a pretty big statement in this 'board's favour. The backlight's brighter than any other I've seen, the keys are beautifully responsive, and it really feels robust.

Oh, don't get me started on Z-boards, used one at a LAN in 2005, never again :)

But glad you are happy with that one, it's just I can't stand that sort of layout, I prefer as close to standard layout as possible, Razer keyboards look interesting though, would be much better than the current keyboard I have (can't even hold down more than 2 keys at same time )

Geck-o-Lizard

This is the new, improved one, it seems, and it really is fantastic imo. I've used like 8 keyboards in the range of £6 - £60 in the past year and this one's the best of the lot. Was yours the one that comes with an interchangeable keyset?

Tbh I change keyboards so often that I don't mind the ones that don't have standard key layout. I learn a new keyboard's layout in a couple of days and after that I'm sorted, so I don't use layout as a factor in choosing a new kb.

Yeah, someone else had one and I was using his machine to play Counter-Strike Source as I didn't get Counter-Strike Source until December the same year, awful, found it very difficult to play, it's because I've been using standard keyboards for years, but it's time for a change, I'm starting to get sick of the fact you can't hold down many keys simultaneously, but I wouldn't like to use anything related to the Zboard series.

I have heard a lot of bad reviews for the Zboard you're talking about; but this one's completely different. Made and performs way better than the Logitech G15 I had. Really, don't knock it til you give it a go. Don't be put off Zboard forever just because your only experience with them was with their crappest product. :D The fancy D pad does take some getting used to, but now I hate going back to the regular keys lol.

You play FPS games with both hands on the keyboard? 5 is the maximum you could possibly need for games like Counter Strike. :p And even then, why would you need to press several at once? o_O

Yeah but I play differently, I like to use both hands on the keyboards when buying weapons, and also when in combat I would like to be able to use my left hand fully, so 5 keys being pressed at the same time would be useful.
