Hi Everyone,

http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif

I'm starting to understand the expression 'sore as a gumboil'!

Not nice.

:( :(

Mark Garcia

So... what means that?

I don't think I want to know.

John Falstaff

gumboil = abscess on the gum

sore = painfully sensitive/ to be upset and angered

'sore as a gumboil' to be very upset/angry.

If it turns out to be as bad as the one I got then I really, really, really, feel sorry for you John; I ended up in hospital for a couple of days with mine :( :(

I'm treating it with red wine - hope that works!

Mark, believe me, I like it far, far less than you do!

Took a couple of days on a drip to save my liver :(

But please John, try not to worry, I was a very, very, rare case :(

Right as rain now though http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Doctor tomorrow, John. Red wine will not 'do it', 'fraid! Good old Malt wouldn't do it either. Been there. Good luck, nothing worse. :(

Thanks for the reassurance peeps, not!

http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif

I can't go to the docs. here other than privately. I've not robbed me first bank yet!

But red wine does work Tippu. I don't know what it's doing for the boil - but another half bot. or so and I won't feel a thing!

:D  http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/yikes.gif http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/yuck.gif http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/silent.gif

But, at the risk of labouring the point, you have to wake up in the morning. Double trouble then. How about a bit of string and door routine? Better still, tie the bit of string onto the tail of one of your errant pooches and open the door. Make sure you're wedged to something first, though, otherwise you're likely to be dragged for miles. :D

btw, I do have sympathy. I had to have a tooth out earlier this year. You know what happens to old nags when their teeth fall out?

So sorry, John. Nothing hurts quite so much as dental problems. I agree with Tip...you're just going to have to rob a bank on your way to the dentist tomorrow. ;)

All you may need to have is a root canal. These are not so terrible as people make them out to be. The pain you are going through now is much worse than the procedure itself. Once it is done you will feel better immediatley.

Try not to worry Sir John, but do have it looked at as soon as possible. They can perscribe some painkillers that will help ( better than wine if you can believe it ;) )

Bad luck, John, I hope you feel better soon.

Not that I promote your wine drinking but what kind of red do you prefer?
I cant say no to a Cabernet Merlot. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/jumper.gif
Do you drink much champagne living in France where it would be much cheaper then the rest of the world? A bottle of Bollinger is $100 here.

John Falstaff
24-11-03, 01:31
Hi Andromeda,

http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif

I don't like Champagne - Dr. Pepper being the prefered fiz-pop!

Bordeaux wines (red) are not known by their grape species (Merlot etc:), but rather by their point of origin. St. Emilion, Pomerol, Medoc etc:. This is because the wines are based, if I remember correctly, on up to five species of grape and are, in effect, blended each year!

We all have our favourites. Mine is Pomerol. I may well have to rob that bank after all!.

Nuffink like a good blag to get you goin'.
