[COLOR="White"]It will turn where you were last time, for example if some enemies or cinematic show up you'll find yourself there when you come back , if you went to a camp before leaving that's where you'll be :)

Yup it does :)

Thoroughly enjoying the game so far, i'm about 3.5 hrs in. Alot of realism and i find the balance between combat and story very well done. Much better story telling than the majority of AAA games out there.

I was lucky, it reappeared at the crest of a hill by the stream and just stood there. I got the perfect shot on it. I was gutted when the arrow wasn't sticking out of its face during the cutscene though.

I haven't watched the Scavenger-Den-Demo for quite some time now, so it indeed felt new to me and I can only saw WOW. It might be horribly linear to introduce us to the mechanics, bt the sounds in the cave were top-notch and really built up quite some tension - I almost died (not me as Lara!), when the guy suddenly grabbed my leg as I completely forgot about him :eek:

I've put 5 hours into the game and I'm not far into it yet. At my pace this looks like a 15-20 hour game.

Are the achievements not unlocking for anyone else on steam?

I took around 2 and a half hours to get to the radio tower. Exploring is so much fun!

I'll be about the same, just got back from [COLOR="white"]retrieving the supplies from the wolf den [/COLOR]and played about two hours. I don't like just running through each stage, it's great to just stop in a large area and have a good explore, kill a few animals and find some salvage.

A comparison video was released a week or so ago. The PS3 version looked better.

The more considered reviews elsewhere and the almost unbroken, uncritical enthusiasm of the early adopters have put me right off. It was the one game this year I was seriously considering pre-ordering and I'm increasingly glad I didn't.

Tell me why I should get this rather than Far Cry 3 which has a very similar set up but sounds a lot more original in most respects?
