To be honest, the only reason I can see why their waiting is either:
1. It's going to be delayed. 2. It's so ****ing amazing what they're showing that its going to blow everything else at e3 out of water. (LOL NO) But with so many games announced already and its not even E3 yet, and some great games at that, will there even be room for Tomb Raider to be in the spotlight come e3? Rahhhh i dunno. I'm not a professional but I dunno. |
Yeah....IDK.
I mean... 1. The cinematic things won't win everyone over a second time 2. If they show the game's exploration and large environments (which hasn't happened yet) they may surprise some people... 3. Combat will be...different enough to make people suddenly become interested in the game. But IDK. I definately feel the game will be delayed...but whyyy? :pi: |
I really don't think the game will be delayed and I don't see a reason why anyone would think that it will be. :/
|
I'm the third one who believe and feel like the game is going to be delayed. There's absolutely NO reason to be so silent for such a long time, is it? That's not normal. The other games that are going to compete with TR have already out more stuff than TR, which is just strange. Even if they have something that will make us and the audience wow, it's still just a game if you know what I mean.

Plus I'm just feeling a delay. I don't know why. But if there isn't one then I'll be happy either way. Delays usually mean "we gotta clean this **** up". So it doesn't matter that much to me. Lets be honest. Six months is not a long time at all. Unless the ad campaign is going to be really aggressive. That reminds me I know I usually see the game advertised when the movies are on tv during the campaign which is always cool. (not really relevant but whatever) |
Well CD want to show any new content at a big event, so that's why they've waited for E3.
Plus Aussie has told us that before TRU, we didn't have any footage of the game until E3. So as much as it seems weird given how long it's been - to have a demo begin at E3, and maybe more content between the short time leading up to release, it's quite possible. I just doubt so much about this game though, as I'm sure everyone does. Some of it sounds too good. |

I don't think it's strange for people to assume something requires more work or focus because the devs are silent.

And do you mean that we didn't actually see the game in motion until the E3 before its release? If so, that's somewhat comforting. I guess we didn't notice it so much because all other media we got before it. |

Mostly because if it is delayed I'll be less upset if I plan for it anyway...this is how I operate. |

I remember when someone posted that offscreen gameplay of the underpus room. ;_ ; That interview is so boring though. No offense Lindstrom. |
KS: "The game just broke, so there is a delay, sorry everyone".
I can't get over how likely it is. Uhh noooo....:/ I like how Meagan puts Karl's name as initials, because I read it and think Kristen Stewart. Quote:

I'm also very curious what's going on with the new website. They said "a few weeks" a few weeks ago. :/
|
A few weeks is anything more than 1 week I guess...
|
I bet the new site won't even be that amazing. :p
|
It'll just be a fancy flash site I'm sure...
with box art and release dates... D:  |

Also I just came across this video of AOD at E3. She plays so much better. I'm so sad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQOTD...eature=related |

^They just have to put media on it, it's done, I'm sure.

Imagine that as the final AOD. With just tons of tombs that looked that good, running and jumping cross bridges and rocks and ****, underground, picking up secret items and using them. With quick and responsive hand-to-hand combat and evasive moves. Would have been so sick. :/ |

You just hurt me by that, I took it personally. Ease on the insults next time. One thing i hate more than anything is someone insulting my intelligence, it winds me up really bad. Do it kindly i dont mind but not like that, it clouds my judgement and i cant reply properly. Back on topic please, I had to reply for that. |

Ummm.... What are the chances of there being two demos at E3? CD presenting a combat demo...and maybe something else on the floor? Or? |
Perhaps. ^ Gosh I'm excited to see combat... I can't even imagine Tomb Raider with good combat.

How amazing that would have been to properly control Lara. |

I feel like...ug oh em ef gee CEE DEE. They want to do a lot of talking about the combat, but they don't want to tell without showing, are they going to be at a conference? Or in chairs? Or what? |
E3 MICROSOFT CONFERENCE STAGE DEMO??? ^ D:

5 minutes is a lot by the way. Or at least its enough for me to decide whether its awesome. I just can't imagine a TR with good combat. I can't even fathom what the combat will be like, but its probably what I'm excited about most. |
Seeing as it's in the discussion...
How are CD going to deal with bullets hitting scavengers and Lara? In The Last of Us it's like...one bullet kills...do you think this game will be the same? |
I think it's gonna be more akin to resident evil.

So... First off I didn't even know this existed in RE.. But you're saying if you get shot in the head by some random chance, you will die? But not in the arm. |
Like the head? 1 hit death? sounds fun.

Head - 1 bullet - death. Leg - 1 bullet - crippled, limited moves Heart - 1 bullet - immediate death etc....yay! |
