Of course the DLC tomb looks like the best thing we've seen so far -_-

I just realised, that despite choosing "ultimate" for everything, there are still 3 options, that can't be changed (as they are gry, while all the others are black), so I think it's not EVERYTHING maxed out...but most of it :D

Oh God... I feel for you. If I got the red ring of death when playing it tomorrow I'd probably press escape, select my grenade launcher, aim it at that xbox and tap control until my fingers bled.

Gamd1011 05-03-13 00:47

The game just shipped!! :jmp::jmp::jmp::jmp:

:}hello friend 05-03-13 00:48

If I 'pre-order: add to cart' on Amazon will I still be able to get the pre-order version and wait until I have enough money to buy it. And does the Amazon one have the DLC tomb?

VixenFromHell 05-03-13 00:49

All this waiting, and then: Fatal error! Not funny :(

lol no...You cant really pre order something that's already out. And I think gamestop and steam are the ones with the tomb. :p

_Ninja_ 05-03-13 00:53

My god this game is stunning... Videos don't do it justice. Such lighting and rich colours everywhere.

i7 2600
6970 (2gb)
8 gigs ram

Everything maxed except hair and tesselation.
45-60 fps

I can max everything except hair at around 30 fps average but I'm not seeing enough difference to make it worth it. I like my smooth frame rate.

Can also run High + hair at 25-44 fps. Probably much better on Normal or Low.

Normal hair is better imo. Now that I see it close up. Other details are worth more.

This game IS well optimized.

It's not out in the US... :p

I don't have the money now to buy, but if I add it to my cart and purchase it later, do I still get the exclusive items or not?

Cochrane 05-03-13 00:55

Got to the first campsite, and it's even more cutscenes, QTEs and other bull**** than in the Gamescom demo. Also, apparently there's only auto-save and saving and campsites? I haven't yet decided on much of an opinion yet, but limited saving is unacceptable.

No you have to order it before the release date to get the pre order bonuses.

Xopax 05-03-13 01:02

omg there's a ending video on youtube:tea:
i big spoiled myself
:ton:

Spong 05-03-13 01:02

LOL, I've seen the TR9 ad on TV (various channels in the UK) no fewer than six times this evening. Credit where it's due, they're going all out in a way they never did with Underworld :tmb:

With all the positive reviews and the chatter online (outside this place), me thinks TR9 is going to leave quite a crater :pi:

Gamd1011 05-03-13 01:02

Will the scavenger hunt still be open tomorrow? Because I still have to take one more picture. :o

Scorpio1991 05-03-13 01:11

I have a question a forgive me if it's been posted before, but are the monsters from the concept art in the game?
If not do you think they will be released in a sidquest dlc?

Xopax 05-03-13 01:11

I was on youtube when I saw this comment: "Well. Buy Uncharted instead. The game sucked."

KILL THAT GUY:mad:

There is a bunch of streams on twitch.tv right now.

Although most players are constantly using survival instinct. Like one guy couldn't figure out the FIRST puzzle in the game. After the cave he was like "Where to I go now???"

It was actually smart of CD. I didn't know there were a bunch of idiots living on this planet.

That's actually all kinds of hilarious. :vlol:
And I agree about that last bit. It's quite depressing to see how much players this generation need hand-holding. They wouldn't stand a chance with the classics. They would most likely blame the game and the controls. :vlol:

Shark_Blade 05-03-13 01:28

Reminds me of this tbh.

I am going to try my hardest not to use survival instinct xD And when/if I do, I shall [mentally] kick myself.

Yup pretty much the most recent example I can think of (it gets worse when he plays TR2-4).

I pity 'casual' gamers nowadays as well. to think that when I first played TR (back when I was 3), I could still play the game better than that guy, and here I am, no 18 years old, breezing through TR1-5 as far as controls go. You know it's sad when a young child can play it better.

I understand that times are changing, but it's getting ridiculous when most games have to have a hint system to appeal to the casual crowd. I know it's optional, but still. :p

Isn't it one of the exciting things about playing puzzles game - the actual puzzles themselves? It seems people want all the sensation of solving a puzzle without the actual effort and thought.

Rai 05-03-13 02:16

I've been playing since it unlocked on Steam and I'm only up to the part where Whitman and Lara team up :vlol:. I actually found the den escape quite hard :vlol:(where's Alex to call me a new-t ;)). But I'm not really used to keyboard and mouse controls, but I can't get a controller to work, so I must persevere or die a lot :p. Loving it so far, even if I saw that part in gameplay videos. Not so keen on Roth's 'voice over' parts as tips when you stand around too long. I'm just grateful the game works on my pc, but I didn't dare use the hair effects.

Glad to hear you're enjoying it. I agree with the hair thing. My computer might explode if I try turn it on. 1 fps, yay. :p

Shark_Blade 05-03-13 02:30

Rai, spoiler for goodness sake! :yik:

*flee from thread*

Rai 05-03-13 02:37

^Sorry, I thought most people had seen that early section in videos :o. Edited it to white.

I'm fairly certain my laptop would have a hissy fit. To be honest, with the hair effects on, in screens her hair looks gorgeous, but having seen video footage, it looks a tad distracting. I'd rather have low quality hair, that still looks good, imo, than flyaway hair. :p

italibabee 05-03-13 02:39

I'm not looking at the previous page now.
:|

Anyways.

Lol.
