Sleeping Dogs shown us some phenomenal videos from Alpha-build status.

And the game will hit the beta one or two months before hitting Gold stage. It usually hits beta from Alpha after 6/7 months.

Two months before going Gold.
I think they reach it at the end of December last year or 1st week of January. Podcast #6 released in January 17/18 and they said they hit the Alpha recently.

So the game will hit Beta in June/July this year I guess. :)

Never (hopefully). Stuff like artwork books and other little gifts is fine for those who love all that, but I have a problem when collectors editions offer game content that's locked to those of us who by the 'normal' version. I'd hate to see Crystal start resorting to cheap tactics like EA or Ubi just to sell the game at a premium and lock out content to those who don't cough up.

Releasing a collectors edition in a fancy box with soundtracks, making of DVDs, booklets, artworks, any physical extra like that is fine. It's only giving people extra game content that I disagree with, even more so when it's content on a disc that I pay for but is locked.

No. That's a given because it would stipulate in the rules if it was a comp only open to artists (which would be a stupid idea in the first place).

No. If you have a brain you're an artist and are eligible to enter, it's not about rules.

It's not a rule that the content must follow a TR-theme, therefore it's more open. The submission does not need to be a beautiful masterpiece to win, as one of the winners will be chosen via a random draw.

No, if you have a picture of an Easter egg then you're eligible to enter. Don't need brains for that. Nothing else is in the rules, apart from an unspoken rule that states you HAVE to post your entry at the Eidos board (because the comp isn't open anywhere else TR-related). That's not "widely open" in my book.

The person who wrote that means "widely open" in a different way, a way which I have clearly stated and it's obvious.

If you think you have no artistic abilities, you'd find you have less chance in a competition in which the winning entry is judged, however if another winning entry is picked randomly, you feel you have a better chance and will enter with whatever you've got. Thwerefore it is open to a wider audience.

As well, the theme is more open so it does not have to include TR.
