Whoops, I meant to say "don't" hold Meagan too. :pi:
|
Do you think Meagan knows the in's and out's of the game yet? :pi:
No. I just mean whatever they want her to say.. she says? |
Seriously, i wish Keir's back.
Do you still remember Scott? |

IKR? I still remember one of his statements. "To everyone: LCGoL multiplayer co-op has been delayed" That was all he wrote as an excuse :vlol: |

Yeah, Meagan is really charismatic, and there's something about her that makes it impossible to dislike her. :pi:
I just remember he went away quietly and Meagan came along. But Meagan is doing good with the podcast and the newsletter.
I'm going to be honest. The podcasts and newsletters are absolutely pointless. It's just their tool (so to speak) to shut our hells up. |
I'm going to be honest. The podcasts and newsletters are absolutely pointless. It's just their tool (so to speak) to shut our hells up.
I won't say either of them are pointless, because...I mean...they have point whether we think that point is valuable or not. The newsletter may be short and not very informative in times of new media, but the podcast always has a little tidbit of information that adds to the bigger picture. |

At least they... make an effort. :p |

Plus a little chat with us would not hurt her. It would be more valuable for her and for us then podcast full of their giggling and talking about their pizza lunch. |

I agree. She has a lot more posts on the Eidos forums than on TRF. I wonder if she converses more there? |

The problem is, that the Eidos forums is the only official. But it's completely dead! If there are like 20 people it's too much. I don't understand why TRF is not official yet. |

Me neither! There is SO MUCH MORE activity here than there.... |

I like hearing the voices of the people making the game. |
I like hearing the voices of the people making the game.
I like hearing something about the game itself. |
I like hearing the voices of the people making the game.
It's a gateway drug. IT makes us crave true info so much more. ;_; |
I like hearing something about the game itself.
That too.. well... in the last podcast we heard they've reached alpha. That's something. |
Me neither! There is SO MUCH MORE activity here than there....
I know :pi:
That too.. well... in the last podcast we heard they've reached alpha. That's something.
Like I said, it would be more valuable if she came here, make a thread about it and you would be amazed how people would be happy about that. It's wasting of time to make 15 mins podcasts. |
But there's only one of Meagan.
Also I like the podcasts over a simple Q&A here, because they're more organized and we get info about Crystal that I actually look forward to hearing. |
Hmmmm
I don't really care what kind of pizzas they like. |
Hmmmm
I don't really care what kind of pizzas they like.
If the podcast was 100% news it would be boring and they'd have nothing to talk about the next podcast. |
If the podcast was 100% news it would be boring and they'd have nothing to talk about the next podcast.
Then why make the podcast every month or so? I would do it only if I had something valuable to tell. |
Then why make the podcast every month or so? I would do it only if I had something valuable to tell.
Well... I guess you have to define valuable. Maybe some people do consider it valuable. :/ |
Well... I guess you have to define valuable. Maybe some people do consider it valuable. :/
Exactly. I care that they even take the time to make them for us. |
Well... I guess you have to define valuable. Maybe some people do consider it valuable. :/
Something valuable is anything about the game itself. Something new. And I don't mean something about the developing process. Who really cares? |
Something valuable is anything about the game itself. Something new. And I don't mean something about the developing process. Who really cares?
What might not be valuable to you may be valuable to someone else. I happen to care about the dev process.. |
Something valuable is anything about the game itself. Something new. And I don't mean something about the developing process. Who really cares?
Me. |
You don't :o
|
I think it's rather obvious that some people actually like to hear about the developing process. That's why Crystal (and many developers) make developer vids and stuff. The fact that they use the podcasts to also market their open positions for developmental jobs kinda speaks to the audience they're catering to with the podcasts: people who LIKE to hear about the development.
Tough nuts for those who don't care. You can't please everyone. (They're really not hurting anybody by making those podcasts, they're not making what little news there is be any less scarce). |
Something valuable is anything about the game itself. Something new. And I don't mean something about the developing process. Who really cares?
That'y your opinion of valuable. Not everyone's though. :o |
Well, they really are not commenting the developing process as such neither, so...
|
They've talked about the reboot itself, the cinematic nature of the game they want, how the beta testing works, how they hire people for development, how they research interest in the game, etc. If that DOESN'T have to do with developing a game, then I don't know what does.
|
Well, they really are not commenting the developing process as such neither, so...
They had like a whole section last time devoted to alpha and what it means, and what the other stages mean in development.. |
They had like a whole section last time devoted to alpha and what it means, and what the other stages mean in development..
What's going to happen next when they've reached the alpha stage now? I'm also wondering when exactly they'll reach the "gold" stage. Because they still need to make a copies of the game etc...It's not a work for 1 week I guess. |

I think it's like a few months until beta then a few months until gold. I don't know exactly what happens during alpha but I think beta is polishing stuff and fixing bugs. |
Take your time cd. Don't let this be a repeat of the horrid aod :o
|
So who's excited about stealth?
I hope it's not just contextual and is an actual game mechanic. |
I suck at stealth but still love it. :jmp: (had a hard time with Beyond Good and Evil's simple stealth).
|
^ i don't use that :pi:
