Don't kill me, but I think I may cancel my preorder. After playing Uncharted 1 & 2 I realized how overrated and "cinematic" those games were. Uncharted 1 was just awful and I quit. 2 was a little better and I may finish it. Not that the action wasn't good but it's only good the first time around. I have absolutely no desire to play through repetitive combat scenes and lame platforming again. And I really fear that Tomb Raider will be just like this, but I can't be sure. I REALLY hope they release a demo so I can make up my mind.

It's up to you of course, but If I was you I wouldn't cancel it! Tomb Raider is something really different to UC.
Just because there are some similarities in the gameplay, that doesn't mean It's going to be the same case with the new Tomb Raider... :)

Do you have a desire to solve Physics based puzzles? :)
and Also there's no similarities with Tomb Raider and Uncharted at all, it's only the cinematic feeling both games want to achieve. (lots of games are trying to achieve this, even the upcoming Beyond Good & Evil 2 is trying to)

Real answer: I don' know but I hope she lives. After seeing her tied to the fire pile, Lara will have to be quick in getting that fire out or she'll have severely burnt feet for sure :(. <<left in white just in case it's too spoilerish.

Ah I see. Well I hope she lives otherwise there will be like no females on the island. I think there might be an actual reason why there are not many women at all on the island but I don't really know. Just a theory I think could mean something so I put it in white xD

Anyways my question this time is will we be able to shoot whilst hanging from ledges? Obviously not the bow and arrow but what about her pistol? Can we shoot while balancing on logs?

I love the way it was implemented in Uncharted and I think it could work really well in this game! They had it in the last one. Ohh that also brings up another question which is... what do we know about her athletic abilities? I know she's not as much of a gymnast but can she climb ropes or poles? and when she swings on bars does she spin all the way around the bar like a gymnast or just back and forth? (I know we've gotten a few hours worth of gameplay so I'm guessing some of these mechanics must have been demonstrated)

I don't think we actually know this one yet, my guess is probably no, since the aiming isn't auto anymore.

Thanks for the response! Hmmm... that's sorta what I figured. They have it in uncharted 2 & 3 though and it works well! (I know the games are different but TR does seem to be taking on a combat system that is more similar to uncharted's.)

I'll re-watch the 1 hour playthrough tonight, but so far I have NOT cancelled it :)

Whatever new video footage we saw right now, including the 60 minute gameplay, are they of the final build? Or to put it this way, have we seen the final build of the game, or is it still at polishing mode?

It's not the final final build of course. But I'm sure its not going to look a whole lot different.

I've seen many videos about tomb raider and the last thing is the incredible Multiplayer :cln: That's enough okay , any thing about a playable demo ? I had enough from the videos and I need a playable demo .

they are still working on the game for atleast this month. so we cant see the final build yet.

How do you know? I think they've finished. And if they are still working they are not doing any more bug fixing...
