It is funny how when you guys were talking about this design (image below) and how nephilims and atlanteans were linked (or something to do with that) after looking at the picture I instantly looked up the design of TRA's scion and thought the layout was very similar:

So does anyone know the significance to this design? It's on the AoD menu and I think it appears in-game too, but I don't think this is ever addressed or referenced. The middle area looks like constellation signs to me, possibly coordinates for something important? :pi:

Tomb Raider: The Horror Game!

aussie500 02-07-13 08:43

OK finally something new after much hunting, Paschal McGuire of the intriguing schematics and pages has finally been tracked down.

Go for your life guys, I am sure a lot of you have some questions for him.

As to the previous comment about a horror game (which we were originally expecting), that artwork titled Origins of Nepheilim certainly fits that. We did see glimpses of that one before the game was released.

The above link does contain some examples of Paschal's life art drawings, which is one reason why a previous video I had seen could not be posted here, so I want to hear no complaints if you click on the link to that artwork, or we will miss out on a great site. And Paschal will miss out on hearing from some fans when they eventually discover the Tomb Raider goodies. Paschal would also I believe have something from the earlier Game Boy Color Tomb Raider games.

My God, so many TRAOD sketches I have never seen before! Thank you! ;_;

EDIT: I must also add his Maya video at the end is very... interesting:

He even has Rouzic's face there!

I really like the artwork for AOD sketches. ;)

Nicely found! I've left a comment on there too.

High-quality Sanglyph: :cln: Wow!

I have left a comment with my question there too. I wonder what happened that James Kenny lost the work he did for the game? Did Eidos still had it?

I also cannot find the concept of Eckhardt's lab in this thread. I known I seen somewhere an had some concepts that are still not in this thread but I do not have them anymore. Unfortunately, some of the sites that had really great material are closed now.

James Kenny dropped by and asked us about the artwork he had lost, he was hoping someone might have found it and posted it some where. If they ever did we never saw it unfortunately.

Hi everybody, James Kenny here. someone sent me the link. Great to see all this work on this thread most, if not all of it, mine a friend sent me the link. To be honest a lot of it I haven't seen since I lost my Ipod on a Ryanair plane between Ireland and England about 4/5 years ago:) In fact, some of the images here were only on that as it was after I had left Core.... I wonder where I can get hold of the original files??? Don't worry, I'm not complaining or accusing, it was my fault for losing the Ipod in the first place and I'm sure the files on it have long been disseminated around the net...

I believe now it was Core Design that organized the Japanese art book, so Eidos probably never had the art. So some would be lost. The concept for Eckhardt's lab is undoubtedly in the thread some where. I will see if I can find it.
