How can you tell?

well the 2 points perspective is easy to identify. they are usually 2 points in the horizon. the third on the other hand could be traced by following imaginary lines from those perpendicular. eventually those perpendicular lines will converge in one point, making it the third point.

but i am not that sure as i suck in perspective.

Could you maybe show me where the points are in that sketch with paint? I'm practicing perspective and would love to create scenes like that.

Note that the forms have a big X under them, it could mean that the idea was scrapped because of Karel. Echkhardt wasn't a nephilim, was he?

Considering we have no concept art of Karel, it seems likely he was thought up later in development and then shoehorned into the plot to give the ending a twist. Earlier versions could well have just had Echkhardt as the main antagonist and actual murderer of Jean-Yves.

Yeah I think he was added later, I posted that video jackraider reposted here in "It's the little things" AoD thread and there wasn't any info of Karel in the video.

Whats the name of the artist that sketched this? Also, was that drawn in 2 point or 3 point perspective?

James Kenny did all the concept art, Mark Donald did the character models and renders, Paschal McGuire did the schematic used for the logo, the journal pages and various computer screens seen in the game, as well as some of the old style drawings seen in the Hand of Fate trailer. Paschal McGuire also I think did the story boards, but not sure of that, we are still waiting for him to post some of his storyboard work.

And it seems Crystal Dynamics have been holding out on us. Jaywalker posted some of the old AOD concept art they had stashed away, and some of it I had not seen before. Nice to see some more turn up after all these years.

It was also posted in a thread here a bit later.
